I'll once again volunteer for Joker mission, and hope it works out better than last time(no explosives this time to kill me dead )
Yancy saves everything and finds whoever is in charge of recruiting for Joker missions.
"I hear you need to smash some stuff to take over a ship? I'm very good at focused violence, so point me at what you need broken and I'll break it. I can also plug things in and fix things given time."
If accepted: Go find the AM and ask "Do you have a gun that can disable/destroy bots without harming the surroundings? I want very focused destruction not wild damage. Maybe a low-power gauss pistol? Oh, and a monorazer."
If not accepted: simply buy(or acquire from pool) highest damaging weapon I can afford/wield.
Lets wait till they actually decide whose going before we do anything. As per most damaging, thats iffy. Most damaging would probably have me buying you a nuke.
Buy a milnoplate helmet for 1 token. Gotta protect my brain.
Contact Milno about the new Joker mission. I have
-High handiwork, aux, and general knowledge
-A compact powerful weapon (Nyars pistol) and good accuracy
-A mk3
Sign up for the standard mission too. I want to go on that if I don't get in Joker.
Ok, if thats actually what that costs, consider it bought.
Double dipping in mission recruitment eh?
I hope someone is making a list of these people who are volunteering. Hopefully in alphabetical order so we can add it to the wall of the dead in a nice neat fashion.
Mission brief text catches Yaroslav in the middle of negotiating for shiny new Testament. He pauses, reads the breifing and sighs.
- Excuse me, forget Testament. One Universal Chemical Thrower, please, and as much namite tokens left can buy me. Or, if there is a cheaper fuel effective against biomass, I'll get that, in maximum quantities I can buy.
Pledge my rifle and sell back extra clips, buy said above instead, then secure a place in landing mission. Also request field-testing of Heavy Robot Body [3xBattlesuit plate version].
When you say "pledge" do you mean sell it back?
I-I'll stay out of this one. I n-need a rest.
Take a nap.
Fair enough
Volunteer for Joker mission. Oh, and request a sharkmist suit.
I don't think I can help you with either of those! They're up to other people! Yay delegating!
"Sounds like those aliens are controlled by some sort of telepathy. Would attempting to gain control over the mind of an alien drone with the mind control amp be possible? Or is there chance that the entire intelligence of the surrounding area will try to fight back?"
Ask Steve.
>We dont' believe they use anything like that. They use distributed cellular intelligence spread via nerve like fibers across the biomass. The individual "Creatures" they create maintain contact via physical contact with the material. They also have some form of rudimentary intelligence themselves. You can try whatever you like though. "Violent missions. Not much interest for me."
Chief, seeing Dubley go off to perform some form of devilry, has a thought. She walks back on over to the Armory Master.
"Synth-arm. 8 tokens. Is it one arm or two?"
Should the AM prove talkative, she asks more.
"Can I get synth-hands for less? How much?"
And if those questions get answered, why, there's a couple she can still think of.
"Can I ask for changes I want in synth-arm?"
Ask.
And if it's not too much to ask, also check up on whether my red proliferating moss (which I either put in the air vents or left in the barracks, I don't quite recall now) has survived the shenanigans of the ship.
Attend to these bits now.
If you're not going on the mission, hold those questions.
Buy a microwave amp and get it installed.
Do this, and sign up for the standard mission.
Consider it done
WIKI PEOPLE!
Join the everyone else team.
Then again...
Try to join the joker team, and if not then join the everyone else team, since this is my first mission.
Meat shield number one for joker team
Han raises his hand. "I'll go on the mission, given that I can get some upgraded gear."
He then considered the teams for a second before sending a message to Miyamoto. "Hello General Miyamoto. I'm Han Thren, a new guy here. While I would be interested on going on the upcoming missions- there is a possibility of interesting opponents- I need a better suit than this one I got when I fell out of stasis. Do you have anything I could borrow?"
((Asking Miya IC for a Mk1+.))
((Ask again later when teams are assembled and we're handing out zquipment, if you can, would be easier.))
Ask Steve some questions:
How big should that nerve cluster be, and where do we find it (eg aboveground, below the skin, ...). Also ask how they found out about that nerve cluster thing to begin with.
Then ask if we can ask for stuff like UAVs and the like to help us explore/find the nerve thing?
>It is assumed that it could be pretty big. Man sized or more. We only have partial, damaged versions from other encounters.
>It will more then likely be under the skin; you'll need to look for signs of it. UAV can be used, but We don't know if you could see what you're looking for from the air.
Join the everyone else team, head to the armory, buy a tesla sabre battery and a monoatomic razor.
WIKI PEOPLE!
Good, will be returning to Doctor momentarilly to have it implimented, want to Deathcube test first.
To the Deathcube! button sequence is: A1, C5, G4, G6, H1.
edt: to speed things up - after use, assuming nothing unexpected happens, I check how the density change affects my movement, including jumping, and if it makes it even harder to move things around than it already is. also seeing if it does anything to my breathing, thinking, etc. After that, I'll be visiting the Doctor so he can have me check for things that I might not have thought of - or to have him help address any complications.
was told to try again later - am trying again.
was told to try again later - am trying again.
Alright lets see...A1, C5, G4, G6, H1
Have you restated your character?
I need to know for reasons
The news right now, local at least, is basically "OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT THING IN THE SKY HOLY SHIT"
"Wouldn't we all like to know. Steve, has there been any examination of that asteroid field? Also, what did happen to our original guide, if there was one?"
So, you guys back?
Watch TV. Ask Steve. Ask ghosts.

Not related to missions, save it for later. Sorry busy.
After listening to/reading the briefing, Vincent rubbed his for head. Both missions sounded like they could go very wrong, very fast. Oh well, might as well sign up for the least likely to be lethal and hope for the best. "Any chance I could make it onto the Joker team?" Apply for joker team. If rejected for Joker, apply for everyone else
I really hope someone is making a list of this...
Head to the Armory and see if I can sell my Mk I suit, since I have a Mk II. Then, buy a guass rifle and 2 clips.
Do this, then apply for the everyone else mission!
You can't sell a MK I.
Well you can but they sell for zero tokens. So.
You buy that stuff, assuming you have the money.

Near to as many people as I can, to increase the chance of alien mobile tumours seeking other peoples souls.
Assuming intact soul, sign up for Team Starship Troopers.
You get...well...It's something that was clearly part of a living creature. And it's pretty phallic in shape. It's also causing your suit's radiation monitor to beep.
"oh great, I get the nuclear dong."
Request to be on a team going planetside before heading to check out the VR facilities in the rec room.
NO NO NO NO NO NO.
No VR unless it has something very specific to do with getting ready for this mission.
volunteer for all the teams.
((Doesnt matter if i stand outin this black ops mission does it?))
Heh, everyone is just signing up for everything. Poor Milno, or whoever is running Joker this time.
First volunteer for the Everyone Else mission. Then, try and teleport into the elevator that leads to restricted areas of the ship.
Your teleporting was specifically related to letting you walk from the crest of one sand dune to the next.
Mummies, bro.
Apply for Joker team. If not, the everyone else team is fine too.
Sure sure
Volunteering for the Everyone Else team, but first, some questions:
"Is there anything that Haebi stuff is vulnerable to? High temperatures, cutting implements, stuff like that."
>They will probably start rather vulnerable to anything. But they'll quickly adapt. Nothing will stay as effective as it starts for long. "Steve we do get maneuver packs and mag boots for joker right?"
Send in volunteering for joker team, then everyone else team, then go to AM get price for half thick Milno plate also ask how much it would cost to get exo upgraded from +5 to +10 with trade in of exo
You get some maneuver gear, yeah.
The milnoplate part I get, though I don't know the price. What the heck are you talking about with the exo thing?
Exiting the hangar, Hasala volunteers for the planetside mission, then heads to the armory and purchases the following:
- Mass Manipulation Psychokinetic Amplifier (If +2 Will and +2 Exotic is enough to use it under the new system) [Purchase from Player Market for 4 Tokens]
- 1 Chem-Thrower Namite Canister
- 1 Painkiller pill
- 1 Coagulant Booster pill
He also sends a request to Miyamoto to test one of the Sharksuit prototypes after seeing the shipping manifest.
I'll assume you can pay for all that.
WIKI PEOPLE!
I am buying Jim's spike defense armour from the player market.
Hmm...where does the money go since jim is dead....
We'll assume you buy it and the money goes into the team fund.
I was looking for something with a ton of mobility enhancers, like the grip pads Pryo's first character had, some form of the Arbiter mobility wires, things like that.
((Ah. I figured since it was modifying the body, it was the Doctors domain.))
Something ultra mobile eh? Like a cheetah crossed with a gecko on a trampoline? We can do that. It's not gonna be very durable, but you could be bouncing off the walls and ceiling and running around like a ninja.
Yeah, that's about what I wanted. I assume this will cost token, or is it more a trade in? Because if it's a trade in, go become a robotic ninja cheetah/gecko hybrid.
Token cost. Probably about 5.
Go buy this.
Volunteer for Everyone Mission, and go buy the new body.
Done and done.
We'll talk about the specifics later, just remind me.
