That's fine, I just want to hit the VR and load up Punch Many Things until respec time as something to do while waiting.
Yancy falls out the pod with a crunch and an "Ow"
*Crunch*
Ow
- It goes easy enough in simulation. Too easy perhaps.
Charge a dynamic bonus for Handiwork, whatever dynamic bonus is. Syvarris says nice things.
I mean it's already done, you did it in real life.
((Nice! I'm glad!))
Finish the work by carving second verse of "Knockin' on Heavens door" on the blank space left on rifle, butt probably, don't aim for high quality, just make sure the inscription is there and readable.
- This is my rifle. There aren't many like it anymore.
Get a tablet of a sort and get to the barracks, to listen to really old music and read various journals on modern weaponry online.
[at Yancys' appearance]
- Hey, new guy!
We'll assume all that engraving goes well.
You grab a data pad and head to the barracks to read guns and ammo.
Good, will be returning to Doctor momentarilly to have it implimented, want to Deathcube test first.
To the Deathcube! button sequence is: A1, C5, G4, G6, H1.
edt: to speed things up - after use, assuming nothing unexpected happens, I check how the density change affects my movement, including jumping, and if it makes it even harder to move things around than it already is. also seeing if it does anything to my breathing, thinking, etc. After that, I'll be visiting the Doctor so he can have me check for things that I might not have thought of - or to have him help address any complications.
I don't have the notes for the cube here either, unfortunately. I'll be back in a place where I have them on monday. Try again then.
By predecessor, I meant whatever gun/s the laser and gauss rifle replaced when they where introduced.
It didn't really replace a single weapon; it was instituted by the early UWM to replace the varied weapons of the constituent armies that combined to form the UWM.
Grab Mk I from locker, search for electronic thing I can read books from.
Data pad? You can get one of them from the armory.
"You get space mojitos? I see you have already started abusing your power. What's next, space caviare?" Flint said in a sombre tone, before adding a small laugh to indicate he was joking.
"But the truth is we don't have a pool of millions. We don't have enough allies and they are fighting their own battles. From all the people I have met on this ship, I have seen none like you. Even if there were, there would be none with your experience, your ability to command respect, to show their past deeds and accomplishments, their competence, their willingness to help the rest of the crew, the feeling of invincibility you exude. For all intents and purposes you are the closest thing we can get to a war hero. A war hero from a time that had no war. A man worthy of being inside an Avatar."
"What I'm saying is that you're more than a general. You're not here simply to assign people to positions and worry about logistics. Anyone can do that (although I have to admit you appear to be doing a good job at that). You are a leader, a hero, someone people can rally around, someone who can solve differences, stabilise relationships, persuade people to give their lives for something. Trust me, I've played that role, I know. And if doing so has taught me anything, it's that for all the strength a leader can provide to a group, if something happens to them..."
"Look, what I'm saying is, I fully support you joining people on missions, but... Just be careful out there. I know war is war, but... try not to take too many risks. Let us take the risks for you. There's no reason to feel bad about that. It's what we're here for."
Flint shakes his head slightly, which translates to a slight movement of the waist for Gilgamesh, given that it has no head.
"Heh, listen to me, talking like someone out of a stupid vid. You know best general. Do whatever you think is best. Just voicing my opinion is all."
((Just realized Miyamoto's Avatar has no name. I was certain it had for some reason. I'm sure there is a joke name about a big white lizard in there somewhere, but I just can't think of one right now.))
Whatever else Miyamoto had learned in ARM, how to best take a compliment like this wasn't really one of them.
"Well, we should have a pool of possible recruiting worlds, if Lars and Charles have been doing their jobs right. Either way, thanks Flint. I'm not sure I deserve such accolades, but it's appreciated nonetheless. And point taken- I'll watch my back even more from now on. After all, I won't have you nor Gilgamesh to come bail me out if I get lost in space." He winked with 3 eyes to accompany the cheesiness.
"Anyways, I have to get back to work. Was nice talking to you face to fa... Well, you know what I mean."
He then held out his hand for a firm handshake.
"Take care on Hep, Flint."
((It has no name yet because it's more of a suit than a vehicle, and I was planning on holding of on naming it until first voluntary contact with the avatar entity.))
Higher numbers get bigger discounts. Hypothetically, if you bought 12 we could give it to you for something like 23-24, as opposed to 36. Discount of about 30%
Cool. Does that still count if I and other people made a 'group purchase'?
Also, is it ok if we pretend that Xan's frozen clone is on the Sword already in the next few days? Sems Hep people are ok with it, and it shortens the time xantalos is forced into not playing.
Finally, review Hasala and Pan's videos.
Nope.
Sure. Though we're gonna need to randomize his stats.
They're alright, at least as far as I remember.
Interesting...
Pray to Cog-azaon for knowledge as to the purpose of this set of little people.
Are there any figures for those who have perished in missions?
((Also General, will get on your job very shortly))
You get a hard pain in your forehead and you're pretty sure that whatever these things are, they have a strange deal of cosmic influence behind them.
There are a few figures that you're pretty sure are of dead teammates. In fact, you're pretty sure there's one for Ivan, but lacking his transformed shape. He appears human still.
If we don't have the preparation dynamic bonus yet, spend a turn on it.
If we do have it... Let the surgery commence!
I am not coming back.
As you wish.
As Flint walked towards the armoury, he opened the front of Gilgamesh and removed his helmet so that he could talk to her face to face. And have easier access to any intoxicants he procured. Getting drunk while driving a battlesuit could be fun... Guiding the bottle to his mouth with robotic arms would probably be tricky.
Approach the armoury master. Ask questions about availability of intoxicants.
"Hey, got something that will keep me as happy as I am right now? Something that could freeze my thoughts, stop me from thinking for a while?"
Flint looked to the side, noticing a certain object on the armoury's list. He pointed at the Organochemistry Overrider Psychokinetic Amplifier.
Also ask question about how far the mind control amp can maintain mind-control after establishing it.
"And hey, this thing here, this oreganochemistry overrider. What's the range on that thing? I mean, it says here you can pilot aliens around. How far can you pilot aliens? Does it get like an antenna or something?"
"As in something to knock you out or what? You want unconsciousness or you want a k-hole?"
"Technically unlimited, so long as you can keep a clear idea of where they reside spatially."
If we don't have the preparation dynamic bonus yet, spend a turn on it.
If we do have it... Let the surgery commence!
Yeah this
[3+2]
You lucky lucky bastard. You remove Maurice's implant.
Great, so punching people kills them dead. Now, use vr to find out from how high I can jump and still land without any damage to my synthbody. Then, do the same but find out from how high I can jump and land and still be able to move afterwards
Also: send mail to Doc/AM asking for options/token price on synthbody upgrade to help me climb/stick to walls. Upgrade should not interfere with synthskin stealth.
How high you can jump or from what height you can jump down? Because any height you can physically jump up, you can survive the fall without damage.
Stick how and to what kind of surfaces?
After watching the two talk about the cake-thing, Ryan walks off again.
Ciel?
Wander to random location.
You wander off and end up in the briefing room. Steve is sitting there in his synthflesh body, poking at the holoprojector with an odd sort of expression.
((Ohhh boy oh boy! I don't know Steve has a body yet IC do I? ))
"Er - hello, sir?" Ryan asks the man in front of him poking at the equipment, "Have you seen my sister - Ciel? Has she been out of stasis yet?"
He blinks, then shakes his head. He mutters to himself, "Of course, I don't even know how long I've been out. She could be..."
Engage in conversation with Steve go! ((Oh god))
>Dead. Recently, killed on a mission. My Condolences. I hope you fare better.
