No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

"Possibly.
You see, the green flecks are as-I mean edible confetti, green, and the brown flecks, that's from... Shaved chocolate, yhea.

As to what kind of cake it is, I can say with 100% certainty this is the best cake that could have been made by human hands.
With the ingredients anyway.
"Do you honestly think I'm going to accept a cake from someone I don't know on a prison ship? Especially one that looks as unappetizing as that one does?"

"Hmm, I see. Well, you've done a good job on he latest mission, as well as when we rescued that cultist FUBAR, so you've probably deserved some time off. If you need someone to do a good word for you to help your chances of being allowed to migrate over, you can always ask."
"Thank you. That is all I am asking. Seeing as how the war for this world is only just beginning... It would not be very... quiet. Not quiet enough."

"But apart from all of that, I did notice something was troubling you lately, haven't been yourself. Care to tell me what it is? I'm no trained shrink, but I can offer a listening ear, for what that's worth."
"Hm? Oh, no, it's nothing, really, everything is hunky dory."
Flint moved his arms up to reinforce his negation, a gesture that could appear threatening or dangerous considering one of them was a weapon, if said weapon wasn't in its safe mode.
"Eh, I mean, it's really not that important, nothing that should burden your mind. I'm sure you've got much more important things to think about."
...
"Besides, I prefer to... work things out on my own, you know? Better that way."

"What, you wanna confine me to this hangar 24/7 and leave me alone with these madmen all day? I mean, have you seen what they did to the place while we were gone for, like, a day? It's madness!"

Then, Miya switches his tone to a more serious one before continuing.

"But you are right, the times do seem to be getting more dangerous and treacherous every day. That's why I have indeed been considering to take a more... supportive role, and let the others do the heavy lifting. Problem is that I'm not sure if I would be entirely comfortable sitting here in this unsurpassed machine of war sipping space mojitos, not using its massive potential, while others go out and get themselves hurt. Though I guess something like 'survivor's guilt' isn't a luxury I can afford anymore now that our little adventure is ramping up. So I've been training some people, teaching them skills or giving them the position they need to take over for me in the field, so I can more easily let it go and trust others to do a good job. And it's always good to have a close circle of friends I trust to watch my back no matter what, even if they sometimes bugger of to the other end of the universe.

Oh, and I make no illusions of my irreplacability. Being one in a thousand, or heck, a million isn't that impressive if you have a possible pool of billions to recruit from."

"You get space mojitos? I see you have already started abusing your power. What's next, space caviare?" Flint said in a sombre tone, before adding a small laugh to indicate he was joking.

"But the truth is we don't have a pool of millions. We don't have enough allies and they are fighting their own battles. From all the people I have met on this ship, I have seen none like you. Even if there were, there would be none with your experience, your ability to command respect, to show their past deeds and accomplishments, their competence, their willingness to help the rest of the crew, the feeling of invincibility you exude. For all intents and purposes you are the closest thing we can get to a war hero. A war hero from a time that had no war. A man worthy of being inside an Avatar."

"What I'm saying is that you're more than a general. You're not here simply to assign people to positions and worry about logistics. Anyone can do that (although I have to admit you appear to be doing a good job at that). You are a leader, a hero, someone people can rally around, someone who can solve differences, stabilise relationships, persuade people to give their lives for something. Trust me, I've played that role, I know. And if doing so has taught me anything, it's that for all the strength a leader can provide to a group, if something happens to them..."

"Look, what I'm saying is, I fully support you joining people on missions, but... Just be careful out there. I know war is war, but... try not to take too many risks. Let us take the risks for you. There's no reason to feel bad about that. It's what we're here for."

Flint shakes his head slightly, which translates to a slight movement of the waist for Gilgamesh, given that it has no head.
"Heh, listen to me, talking like someone out of a stupid vid. You know best general. Do whatever you think is best. Just voicing my opinion is all."

((Just realized Miyamoto's Avatar has no name. I was certain it had for some reason. I'm sure there is a joke name about a big white lizard in there somewhere, but I just can't think of one right now.))

((Mmmm... ham cheese cake...))

Lars walks to the barracks and carefully places what Maurice gave him in his locker.  The last thing is the bag; upon feeling the odd shape of its contents, he became curious.  Taking it back to the rec room, he sat at a table and emptied the bag.

Empty "I'm not coming back" bag and examine contents.  If there's one that looks like Lars, place it in a position of prayer facing toward any that resemble Steve.
You find your little double and get him out, but there are no replicas of steve. You do, however, find a tiny version of the bust of milno, complete with pedestal. You position him to worship that instead. He does so.

Whether Mesk comes or not, begin the operation. Use the prepared bonus from last turn, if those still exist.
Also, why Aux? We're carving the implant out, since it was described as simpler than cutting off the chunk responsible for shocking. Plus I (or Mesk, if he shows up and is willing to mutilate brave the risks) am using the Dissector, so that separating the implant from organic tissue can be done as tenderly and gently as possible (not to mention the lack of pain and blood allowing me just to attempt this operation by myself using the cameras and the helmet-screen).

I really hope he comes. ...Funny how things sometimes go.

Update: Mesk came and is willing, so I give him the cursed knife and my assistance in the operation to completely remove the spinal implant.
Just gonna say again: If mesk fucks this up you die permanently. That includes a 6 or more. And he has a +2.

Again, you could just go to the infirmary and get someone there to do it without the risk.

Are you really dead set on getting mesk to do it?

Since this action isn't really effecting anything gameplay wise I'll just say you manage to get it done. In reality though, that prep should give you +/- 1 and if you failed a few times your gun would be completely covered in engravings that weren't what you wanted.

((Okie-dokie, fair enough. Let's taunt the dice some more.))

- It goes easy enough in simulation. Too easy perhaps.
Charge a dynamic bonus for Handiwork, whatever dynamic bonus is. Syvarris says nice things.
I mean it's already done, you did it in real life.

I'm interested in buying kin amps. Multiple. What are the rules on discounts for bulk orders again?

I'm talking buying between 4 to 12. Does the discount increase as units bought increases?

Higher numbers get bigger discounts. Hypothetically, if you bought 12 we could give it to you for something like 23-24, as opposed to 36. Discount of about 30%

what you want?
Head to the airlock, find Maurice.
How many people has mesk killed, Maurice?!

Go to the medical staff and ask if there is some job that needs doing. Something that pays, preferably.

"So, is there something I can do while I wait for my first mission? Something that pays, maybe, so I can get a gun or something?"
"Donate your body and we'll give you 5 tokens."

Thats their response.

how does the amp specialist know when amps are being used against him? He would need some form of wierdsense in order to defend against direct amp attacks, which he did repeatedly during the assault on Heph.((Answered by Paris in OOC thread - method isn't ok for Lyra))

Doctor's opinion on effects of using deathcube to make herself light?

finalizing things:
color changing fur, same white as currently when I don't want to be sneaky, changes color to match surroundings and makes me really hard to see when I want to hide. ensure paws/hands/feet/whatever you want to call them are properly padded for totally silent movement ((though that part is probably already in place, I'm not sure so I'm mentioning it here.))
improved musculature to allow even faster movement and even more precise control, even compared to my current cat-hybrid-body. (if tokens to spare, improve this further please)
improved skeletal structure to handle improved musculature and ability for body to naturally, though very slowly, heal non-organic components.

NEW: replace or add to painkiller in fangs with a much stronger sedative, one that will reliably put a human or sod to sleep very very quickly, but not for very long, not *just* deaden pain. keep the coagulent boosters, and sedative needs to be safe to use on wounded individuals. painkilling effect lasts much longer than sleep effect.
if possible, have sleep effect leave subject pliable for a couple minutes after they wake up from it.

retain all changes from previous part-cat mod
body still looks from the outside and feels both inside and out like an organic body.
old body kept in storage if zero cost.
same size or smaller.

no bullet-time
no wierdsense unless I get a compatible answer to the amp specialist question, which i do not think will happen.

tokens spent: 12 / 12

IF: Deathcube services are currently available AND doctor thinks using Deathcube services to make lightweight is a ok idea THEN:
before actually getting the mod done, would use deathcube services to first-time-test lightweight + self at no cost, as per the Deathcube services doc. followed by a Doctor inspection, then getting the mod done.

EDIT: in PM conversation with Hapah, confirmed price for said deathcube service is 0 tokens, button sequence is: A1, C5, G4, G6, H1.

The Doctor tells you to go for it. He says it very nonchalantly.

So basically robo-kitty with fiberoptic fur, various injectibles via hypodermic canines, padded footsies and general strength and dex increases. Alright.

"Aw"
Inspect the rec room.
The Rec room has a tv, VR machines, a kitchen area, a mess hall sort of area, a sparing ring, etc.

Alright. Change to a firing range with 8 human targets with varying degrees of armour from no armour to armour plating. Also spawn a laser rifle along with its most recent predecessor, a gauss rifle and its predecessor and three other random rifle, shotgun or sniper rifle. Have the targets go from 10 meters to 800 meters away. Test how each weapon does.
Missed me.
When you say predecessor what do you mean? There's not a direct lineage of worse to better, rather it's a complex family tree of modifications for their particular use.

check boxes for notes or engravings. Pick up one of the ribs, is it shaped like a weapon of sorts?

also count them and see if they can notch into each other.

I don't actually have access to my documents for this, so the stuff I can give you is limited. I can tell you that the box has no more notes and that the things are vaguely weapon like, as they have a pointed tip, but seem more like a structural piece or manufactured material.

PERFECT!
One of the few people who have regarded passing out drunk in the hall with such enthusiasm.

"Here goes nothing! I just hope it isn't a really small invisible electro bear."

Open box  CAS-CAF-RP-Pm225: DECEITFUL IVORY and see what goodies are within.
I don't have the document to tell you whats in there right now....Ask me again next monday. Or pm me then to make doubly sure, I might not answer things in the thread but I will almost always answer pm's.

((Cooking mama: What the hell is that edition.))
"Perfect! And they said I couldn't become a chef!
Hey, you![Persus13] Try this!"

"What is it? What are those green and brown flecks in that?"

Take a look at what books are in the rec room.
There are zero books in the room that I know of. Unless lars left the pantheon in here, which I doubt.

Jobasio eventually gets over himself, casts aside his blanket and goes to find some pants whilst glaring at anyone looking in his direction.

>Go get some pants. Wear them. And a shirt.

>Then go back to the Armory.

"Ahem. Sorry about that." He glances askance at the flaming-hands-guy for a moment, then looks back to the AM.
"Might I trouble you for a pair of cam-eyes? I believe they are five tokens, yes? Unless of course you've changed your policy on selling single cam-eyes, in which case I shall take just one. Otherwise, here." He slides the tokens across the counter.

>Purchase either a single cam-eye or, if that's not possible, a pair of cam-eyes.
Then go to the Medbay to get just one cam-eye installed, in place of whichever of my organic eyes is weaker.
You get dressed.
You buy a pair of cam eyes WIKI GNOMES! HELP HELP HELP!

You get one of them installed.

Get into VR. load up two standard UWM sods. See how well I do just punching one of them until he's disabled. After that, see how well I do using wing chun/kung fu moves and how fast that allows me to disable him. Then spawn a third one, and go full atatatatata on him and observe results
You're in a full synthflesh body right? Against human enemies, even strong ones like sods, you can probably crush their skulls with a good strong punch, regardless of the style you use.

Finish the work by carving second verse of "Knockin' on Heavens door" on the blank space left on rifle, butt probably, don't aim for high quality, just make sure the inscription is there and readable.
- This is my rifle. There aren't many like it anymore.
