"Well, one of the people staying on that planet had this laser rifle they were giving away. I'm assuming this weird box connected where the battery is supposed to go is a generator... I'm going to have a look at what they have in the armory after the briefing, though."

"Pretty good, I imagine. Most of what we'll be up against should be pretty tame. Civ stuff except for whatever alien... stuff, is going on."

"Denzel Gaunt. Glad to see we have enough bodies on this team for the job. What will you be using, out of curiosity? To kill the cultists, that is."

"...bear in mind, our mission isn't really to 'kill the cultists.' We're here to figure out what's going on and in all likelihood snatch it up and carry it off with us. The fewer people we end up killing the better."

"Nice to meet you all..." D'usse frowned. "I'm pretty fond of my cat parts at the moment, and even if I lose them, I see a lot of you have mods and artificial parts, so can't I get them modded back?"

"Oh yes, certainly. You might notice I'm a bit... modded, myself. We have a doctor on board who's a specialist at really custom jobs, too. Just... be careful of how you word things around him. He can be a bit overzealous."

Brother Lars turned briefly, as the chatter and commotion took over.  Several people who he did not recognize.

"Greetings, brothers and sisters of Steve!  I am Brother Lars, a faithful soldier of our holy army of the Great Glorious Steve!"  He gestured to Steve.  "I serve as prophet on the ship and as the chaplain out in the field.  Do not worry about danger and risk, for as long as your faith remains strong, the light of Steve will guide you to victory!" He beamed another smile at the people looking at him.

Looking around, Vincent notes the increase in ship population now that the previous mission is complete. "I'll help on any mission I can be useful in, although I'm not currently suited towards combat, so I'll probably be more useful for missions A or B. By the way, does anyone have a mirror or other reflective surface? I didn't have a chance to look at my mask before heading to stasis after I threw it on"

"oh man, I remember Timmy from my first mission. dude had this weird cube that just evaporated him. And then there was that other guy who kept using these artifacts. Well, some alien magic abomination came andevaporated him too. good times.
