Ach, I'd meant to
draw with, not write. Posting at 2-3 am, like I am now!
Sorry I haven't posted in so long; been busy and haven't had a post in me. I'll edit the second design in in the morning unless you get to it first or you'd rather me post it in the Tinker thread.
"You may have gone slightly demented from several hundred years in stasis"? Might as well be a clean bill of health! Erin loiters around the Infirmary for a while longer, examining and sketching things while trying to keep out of the way of the medical staff, occasionally winding up her headscrew contemplatively, before hailing who she assumes to be the chief medical officer: given the white lab coat, respirator, shiny glasses, and
particularly the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach every time he looks in her general direction, this was clearly a Man Of Science And Authority.

"Ah, excuse me please, Herr Doktor! If you're not too busy, there are a few things I'd like to ask you about..." She says, scooting up to him to present him her notes and drawings.
"Since we've got this whole rebellion business going on, I imagine at some point there's going to be a lot of bloody front-line infantry skirmishes, and I've been thinking about the creation of an armored medical vehicle, since it might not always be practical to ferry people back to the ship..."Consult with The Doctor, and get his take on some potential designs! The basic design for the reconstitution vehicle is essentially a large, squat, heavily armored hexapodal tank, front-loading via a retractable/detachable stretcher that dumps the remains of the discombobulated into the vat of healing stuff in belly of the machine, where an array of internal arms can piece soldiers back together and ideally re-deploy them mid-battle, while simultaneously acting as cover.
-Composite, angled layers of hard plating and soft armor to stop the largest possible number of threats and allow the vehicle to act as mobile cover for infantry
-Top-mounted laser gun on a 360º turret for self-defense
-External cameras to provide a view around and above the vehicle; sensors to detect temperature, radiation, atmospheric pressure, and other environmental hazards; and a remote uplink to transmit this data to allies
-What would the best suite of equipment to most efficiently take on the widest variety of patients, and what would the average turnout be in terms of speed? It doesn't need much ground clearance, but ideally the machine shouldn't be much larger than 6-7 feet tall and 10-12 feet long.
-How viable would it be to give it automanips to absorb incoming fire (figuratively and literally) and dump it into the machine's power system?
-How viable would it be to make a wetware computer out of any spare brains we have lying around, so that it can dynamically learn how to most efficiently support its allies? Ideally, we'd also be able to capture and reconstitute enemy casualties to either take them prisoner or press-gang them as reinforcements.
-What would the ballpark cost on something like this be?
This is based off of the standard (Female) Synthflesh body model for full body prosthetics, with a variety of potential enhancements:
HEAD:
-Laser rangefinder integrated next to the eye
-Would it be possible to keep the aesthetic of my current eyes with the funcitionality of the cameyes? I've grown kind of attached to them...
-Hypodermic fangs
-Felid top-mounted parabolic hearing sensors on rotary mounts
-Retractable holographic HUD for tactical information and vital statistics
-Organic hair analogue grown from stored nutrients- ideally strong enough to make rope, fire retardant, and bulletproof
-Taste and smell receptors; the latter need not be connected to any sort of respiratory system anyway, and should ideally be of adjustable sensitivity
-'Secondary brain' coprocessor cluster (wet or dry, whichever is more practical) to be slaved to any installed amps
ARMS:
-Integrated hand lasers and toolkits
-Retractable monoatomic claws in the fingers
-Reconfigured joint musculature/motor assistance to give shoulder joint 360º range of motion and allow the elbow joint to bend backwards
-Microfilament pads on the hands to assist in climbing/clinging to surfaces
TORSO:
-Front and back secondary cameyes between the shoulder blades/below the collarbone
- 2-4 back-mounted mechanical arms with modular ends (for holding manipulators/tools/weapons/etc), foldable seamlessly into the back (Depending on necessary size/space/practicality requirements)
-Two waist-mounted hydraulic arms for heavy lifting and stabilizing heavy weapons, similarly concealable in the waist
-Concealed middle-back coilgun with expandable anchor spike and liquid cable winch for rappelling and emergency fall prevention
-Abbreviated digestive system (if one doesn't already exist) to parse nutrients for distribution to organic systems and burn remaining matter in an internal generator, in addition to any existing power sources
LEGS:
-Retractable cleats, and microfilament pads on the feet and knees for traction/clinging/climbing; doubt these by themselves are sufficient to hold up the weight of the unit, though
-Deployable leg extensions for running/jumping that give a digitigrade posture and fold back into the calf ((Don't remember the specifics of the base item, but Faith was messing with them at one point))
OTHER:
-Segmented, prehensile tail, with an attachment mount at the end ala the additional arms
-Organic, rapidly-regenerating, and fire-retardant dermal surface layer with the color, consistency, texture, and sensitivity of human flesh over the synthflesh body
-Nervous tissue seeded within synth-flesh and muscle to re-enable tactile sense, temperature and pain reception- the latter may seem disadvantageous, but can be useful tools
-Automatic resistor/bottleneck in spine/brainstem to block sensory/pain overload and scale pain to manageable levels
-Abbreviated, self-contained, and detatchable (for remote incubation) reproductive system; I'm obviously going to need an heir at some point, but I'm sure as hell not carrying the brat around inside me for nine months; I've got shit to do (and the abdominal cavity can serve as internal storage when it's not in use)
-Breasts are nice aesthetically, but don't serve much meaningful purpose in this context; can they be re-engineered to synthesize medicines/combat drugs/chemicals/poisons from stored nutrients for dispension normally or via fangs?
-Steering thrusters in the shoulders/hips/feet for aerial control; jump jets in the back if room is available

I've also been doing some looking into synthetic bodies, and had some ideas for an improved custom model..." Erin says by way of explaination as she flips through a few pages to the second design.
"Mostly spitballing based on gadgets I've seen available... Sure, the flesh is weak, like they say, but it's flexible, and I've always thought that a truly superior being should have the amenities of both man and machine, you know?
...My biotechnology's more than a bit rusty, though, so I'm not sure how much of this is practical, or even possible, but I was hoping you could set me straight on some things. And if you have any ideas..." Trailing off, she pauses for a moment to scratch her head.

"Admittedly, I did get a little carried away with the cat motif."EDIT: Edited with the second half of the post... at 3 am! ((I am so sorry for these gigantic spoilers.))
