Yeah, but unlike mustard gas and napalm, these are ostensibly people who were at least once human. There's never been a single documented case of an Amp Specialist, Shadow Walker or Urban Executor making some kind of amusing mistake, or making a public joke? Or an Arbiter of Peace encountering a strange speech or movement error? Not on video, necessarily, just any kind of information on this subject.
If so, check if I have access to data about what kinds of decompensators they might be equipped with.
Check how one becomes an Urban Executor - presumably Shadow Walkers are promoted from their ranks, right? If the standard grunts are Sods, then what part of the military do the Urban Executors draw from? The officers? Are they selected the entire way, or do they volunteer to initiate the transition? How about Amp Specialists?
1. Best you can find is some book which has a quote from one of the scientists about the creation of the arbiter. Apparently the extremely skinny, tall design of the arbiter gave them a hard time working out a walking pattern that was both efficient and still threatening.
"We started with evo-programs, like usual; but they kept giving us stuff like hopping or crab walking. And the problem wasn't that it wasn't efficient, it could crab walk at 80 miles an hour, it's just that the generals didn't want an ultimate fighting machine that bounced around like a homicidal wallaby. [Project leader VonNost] couldn't have cared less about how it moved as long as it could still operate at peek efficiency, but we didn't have much choice in the matter. This was before we went with the artificial brain the system now uses, so we started trying wet components. The best we ever got was a spider monkey or gibbon based system, since their original casings were also extremely long limbed and tall, proportionally to humans, at least. Of course, in those circumstances it had a bad habit of swinging around on things and holding it's arms above its head while running. The generals didn't like that either. Thought it was too comical.
There was talk of unleashing one of the things against them in a dark alley and seeing if they still thought it was comical."

3. Urban executors are usually recruited from Civic Defender ranks, and are promoted up the chain from there. Details about any of it are hazy; especially amp specialists. Apparently they're more myth then reality in the eyes of the general public.
"Thank you Ma'am"
Saint thanks the AM, then turns to Dubley.
"Would you mind texting me the results of your tests with that item when you finish them? I'm quite curious as to what it does."
Saint then moves a distance away from the kiosk, and carefully examines the exoskeleton. Does its frame rely on a wearer, or does it look like it could be assembled to function without one? Also, check what the various methods to control it are. Does it just use an integrated control system, like on/off button, or could I connect it's CPU to my wristpad?
It relies on you being in it, it only controls one way and thats negative feedback sensors, and the control system in integrated into the frame, namely in a metal box around at the small of the back.
Jim kept an eye on her. If it looked like she was going to kill Auron, he'd stop her, but he wanted more answers right now. Steve had given him a leadership position solely because he was the only person willing to act as an arbiter and police force in the HMRC, and he wanted all the facts before he decided what to do. Right now the only thing he knew for sure was that Auron had caused some property damage after firing at Simus.
"Steve, what led up to him taking a shot at her? Can you tell me anything further about the situation?"
You're pretty sure she just turned off his life support. And the doc just turned it back on. Hmm.
>Series of events is as follows:
1. Auron used parts he scavenged from inside the control building to build a spider tank.
2. He then used team resources to arm said tank with a cannon.
3. Simus, who was never informed about the use of these resources before hand, came over and told him that she was going to take back the cannon and possibly break down his robot since he made it without her approval.
4. Auron argued that he made it with stuff he scavenged and that the cannon he used was really cheap (25 out of the 1000 RU the team has to spend)
5.They got in an argument, at which point simus asked me to intervene and basically help her pull rank to show she was in charge. This included electrocution.
6. Auron got rather pissed off by this and tried to shoot her. I assume he didn't try to shoot her fatally, his brainwaves were reading similarly to someone attempting to beat up or break something, not a homicidal intent. But he missed and the shot either clipped a fuel tank or caused a series of reactions that detonated one.
"Sure thing Saint. I'll text you the results. My name's Dubley by the way, Dubley S."
To the Armory master:
"Hey Sweetheart, can I get some cardboard targets to shoot at? And how about 3 more molotovs too."
Set up the targets somewhere outside. Shoot them with the "Number gun".
The armory master looks at you with the type of glare that you could cut steel with.
"Wanna rephrase that request?"
Nap time.
Narcolepsy?((She sedated you through death.))
((That's a good way to put it. If she had planned to leave you until you permadied from lack of support, she wouldn't have brought The Doctor, anyways.
And while the theatrics weren't strictly needed, as The Doctor said, if what I'm doing goes right, Auron won't be in a position to appreciate theatrics again for a very long time. He'll still be useful, though - just not as, how should I put it... impassioned.))
((What an interesting way to say 'impromptu lobotomy'. Or an enslaving computer component in his brain? Options, options...))
((Come on, let us all do our best evil plan laugh together!))
Search the internet for information on the altered. Specifically, theories on how they were able to communicate and/or organize over such long distances. How they were able to coordinate enough for the outbreaks on different worlds happened at the same time?
Also, were there any dramatic or gradual shifts in the way they worked? Their strategy, tactics, movement patterns, weapons (I know they don't have weapons, I mean weaponized biological forms)), ship designs, behavior (especially on planets and civilians), etc.

DEMONS FROM HELL! THEY ARE DEMONS FROM THE DARK RECESSES OF THE UNDERWORLD. YOU PUNCH THE COMPUTER SCREEN AND START SCREAMING ABOUT THE POWER OF SPACE CHRIST.
"Hmmm"
put bracelet on wrist
I forget, are you wearing a suit/ clothing on your arm or are you placing this directly on the skin?
"Dude"
"Yeah?"
"Lasers"
"I know"
"She never explained how to beat lasers with amps"
"I know"
"Clever girl"
Send out a strong pulse, like the AM explained, with the aim of breaking the mechanical arms the lasers are on.
If this fails and I end up dying a horrible virtual death, message the AM for advice on how to beat lasers
[4+2 DECOMP 5]
Turns out physical shockwaves aren't very useful against light. So you destroy the lasers, but not before they manage to put several holes in you.
Unless you have something that can bend light you'll need to put something solid between you and them.
Jobasio leaps suddenly to his feet, bouncing off a wall and steadying himself on Milno's shoulder before regaining his balance.
"Death-star?" he squints at the AM, or, rather, somewhere over her left shoulder, "Space Nazi?"
Sadly, Jobasio's knowledge of ancient history was somewhat lacking. He only had what little education he'd been able to claw together for himself on his industrial homeworld, after all.
He spread his arms in an unsteady shrug. "I am sure whatever you have shall be app'opriate! I need to, uh... inspire the people and what-not, yesh?"

She hands you a stern looking grayish uniform with sharp seams.

You're on the attack course, ya widget.
All that comes out of the slot when you reach it is a flimsy replica of a Sod, brandishing a non-functional weapon in your direction. It sits there for about two seconds before sliding back in. You get a mild shock as it does so and the flashing screens display a -100 points.
Milno takes a moment to watch the man using him for support before giving the Armory Master an answer. "A kinetic amp would be good, then. As for what I've been looking: I wanted something that wouldn't chew too fast through ammo or batteries and would be useful in more than one scenario."
"Had been considering the kinetic amp for a while myself because I already saw the damage it can cause." he explains, recalling how he had lost a leg with ease due to a single attack from Erik back at mission two. "Considered the tesla sabre to have something I can cut people with, but the battery's duration and the fact a lot of things can be insulated against electricity has been keeping me back."
Buy a Kinetic Amp, keep talking to the AM.
During the timeskip period, assume Milno talks to the AM and keeps trying to understand both sharkmist symbiosis and alien glove in his free time - like discovering what exactly he can use as fuel for bodily transformations and how much the glove is capable of changing. He also does it very carefully.
Other points of research:
1 - If the glove's simulated version of the rifle it absorbed can fire.
2 - If it needs ammo, if it still has the (partially-filled, 20/75) magazine that was within the gun, and if it can accept the fresh magazine I had bought.
3 - If it can turn normal metal into ammo.
4 - If it has all the features the rifle had (burst fire, overcharge, etc).
Done and done.
Make that robe! For real this time!

You make yourself a resplendent green robe, fit for the high priest of steve. You're not even sure where the golden thread for these patterns on the sleeve ends and collar came from, but it's pretty snazzy.
