Jim waits in the infirmary for the two to wake up so he can get an explanation for what exactly happened out there. "Steve, do we have external cameras on the ship? If so, can I get the footage of what caused the explosion? I'll take the view from their cams if I have to."

>Auron tried to shoot Simus and missed. His shot hit a fuel tank and boom. Fairly simple.

As steve tells you this you notice some of The nurses helping Simus out of her tank and dragging her over to Auron, where she starts to do things to him that are probably very bad for his health.

Check. Do I have my laser rifle as well? How many slits do I see?

Spoiler: Gorat 'Chin' Ivanos (click to show/hide)

This is amp training old son, of course you don't have your rifle. As per slits, hard to say. A dozen or more at least.

Grab some shitty HMRC standard and complain moderately while drinking it. Wander over to where everyone else is.
"Hello naked lady. I don't think we've met before. You should probably use that uniform."
[end:3]
You chug a few mouthfuls worth of the booze.

"Hello naked lady. I don't think we've met before but you should- oh god there goes my liver"

You collapse to the ground and slur out

"Nawked is gud. I dussnt knuw whys I'm tryling to maces you unnawked. I lovues you, floor."

((The robe is for me, not Steve.  But that's an idea worthy of entertaining.))

Lars frowned.  How did this go?  He laid out and checked those measurements again...

Charge up another robemaking bonus!
Ah, so I suppose you want two sleeves then? Picky Picky.

Lying on the floor amidst the feet of the folks at the Armoury, Jobasio clears his throat loudly and raises a hand.
"Excuse me, ma'am," he slurs to the AM, whether or not she actually hears him, "I appear to be suff'ring a critical uniform shortage. Shorely I should have some, visible representashun of my proud place within the, uh, A.R.M?"

>Request a uniform from the AM.
Preferably something fancy, but still with a stern, military look.
"You wanna look like someone off the crew of the deathstar or like a space nazi (Helghast anyone?). Because that's really the only two ways that's gonna happen."

Hm... maybe that's not actually such a good idea.

Instead, look for funny and/or cute videos on the Internet featuring or about Arbiters of Peace.

Then do the same for Shadow Walkers and Urban Executors.

Then do the same for Amp Specialists.

You might as well try and look up funny videos about mustard gas and napalm.

"Theres a big button on the floor"
"Yes, a decently acceptable place for a button"
"I don't know, looks like a trap to me."
"Surely the AM wouldn't put a trap in this simulation?"
"I dunno man, she can be pretty scary at times."

Press the button. Be prepared to defend myself in case it triggers an attack of some kind.

You press the button.

Several small doors open in the wall and lasers mounted on mechanical arms whir out and aim down at you.

Dubley points his new toy at Saint.
Pew, pew pew. Haha, made you flinch.
Then he goes to the armoury, trying to make himself seen among the crowd of naked cyborg girls, monks, honeybadger supersoldiers, stoners, and vomit boys.
Hey, Miss Armory Master, do you know anything about this gun? Nyars gave it to me. And is there anywhere I could test it?
Ask

"No. Also, test it outside. Away from the ship. And bystanders."

Erin pouts slightly at being completely blown off by Milno, but May pipes in before she can deliver a retort; she flinches slightly at her touch, but seems to let it slide after realizing who's doing the touching, and her eyes light up when virtual reality is mentioned.

( ) "Yes perfect." She moves to follow May towards the rec room, but stops for a moment to address the AM before leaving.

( ) "...Actually, if it's not too much trouble, could I get a lab coat, a lighter, and some smokes before I go?

...Oh, and some sandals."
She adds as an afterthought, rubbing one foot against her other calf.

Follow May to the Rec Room once items are either acquired or denied- once there, plug into the VR and get immediately sucked into Tinker. If given the choice of cigarettes; normal and blue.

( ︿) "Real shame about that sharkmist thing, it sounded intense.

...I should invent that."

Spoiler:  OOC (click to show/hide)

Lab coat, sandals and lighter sure, but what kinda smokes? We've got standard, blue smokes, mellows, twitchers and vision sticks. And they all have self lighting tips.

"Yeah."

Get Lab Coat, Lighter, sandals, and normal/blue cigarettes from the A.M. for Erin.

"So you turn on the machine, put on the helmet, and it'll give you instructions from there. I'll join you."

Get into the VR and join in with Erin.

((Best Big Booty Friend That's Fine So If You Don't Like It Then Ya' Ass Gotta' Go Home

-Phrase Origin: Spinoza's Ethics))
Standards eh? Boring. Oh well.

VR machines it is. Which program?

The fact the armory's beginning to get a little crowded is not lost on Milno, though the departure of both albino freak and that someone probably as insane as her leaves a bit more of room. "Oh, yeah.". He pauses to put his helmet back on after checking his wristpad. "Any melee weapon inside or out of the armory list you'd say is a good one? I need something to fight up close aside from fists."

Ask AM.
"Kinetic amp is pretty good. Scales great with strength, almost too good actually. Potentially dangerous if you're really strong.  Other then that, depends on what you want you want to do with it."

((Yep, thanks))
"Hows-about a.... green .....pentagon with a vertical line... yeah"
buy thing, open, examine
Inside is what appears to be a ring or bracelet; but for something with a very different finger or arm structure then yours. It's sort of ovoid  with two divots on top and a rounded bulge on the bottom. It's big enough to fit on your wrist.

Saint smiles and chuckles a little when Dubley points the potentially nuclear murderstick at him.

"Heh, we should probably find a better target for that thing.  So, what's your name?  I'm Steve Saint, although I have a feeling I'll go by just 'Saint'."

Saint then walks alongside Dubley to the Armory.  Upon getting there, he quickly engages the AM for a moment.  He also makes an effort to not stare at the nude ladies or anything, trying not to be noticed by them.

"You seem busy, so I'll keep this short.  I would like a cut down version of the exoskeleton, for two tokens.  Steve said you could procure one for me?"

Buy a sub-exoskeleton model C.

((Gaaahhhh.  Constant hospital trips are... bluergh.))

Done and done.

Yeah, but unlike mustard gas and napalm, these are ostensibly people who were at least once human. There's never been a single documented case of an Amp Specialist, Shadow Walker or Urban Executor making some kind of amusing mistake, or making a public joke? Or an Arbiter of Peace encountering a strange speech or movement error? Not on video, necessarily, just any kind of information on this subject.

If so, check if I have access to data about what kinds of decompensators they might be equipped with.

Check how one becomes an Urban Executor - presumably Shadow Walkers are promoted from their ranks, right? If the standard grunts are Sods, then what part of the military do the Urban Executors draw from? The officers? Are they selected the entire way, or do they volunteer to initiate the transition? How about Amp Specialists?

"Thank you Ma'am"

Saint thanks the AM, then turns to Dubley.

"Would you mind texting me the results of your tests with that item when you finish them?  I'm quite curious as to what it does."

Saint then moves a distance away from the kiosk, and carefully examines the exoskeleton.  Does its frame rely on a wearer, or does it look like it could be assembled to function without one?  Also, check what the various methods to control it are.  Does it just use an integrated control system, like on/off button, or could I connect it's CPU to my wristpad?

Jim kept an eye on her. If it looked like she was going to kill Auron, he'd stop her, but he wanted more answers right now. Steve had given him a leadership position solely because he was the only person willing to act as an arbiter and police force in the HMRC, and he wanted all the facts before he decided what to do. Right now the only thing he knew for sure was that Auron had caused some property damage after firing at Simus.

"Steve, what led up to him taking a shot at her? Can you tell me anything further about the situation?"

"Sure thing Saint. I'll text you the results. My name's Dubley by the way, Dubley S."
To the Armory master:
"Hey Sweetheart, can I get some cardboard targets to shoot at? And how about 3 more molotovs too."
Set up the targets somewhere outside. Shoot them with the "Number gun".

(If you were dead, piecewise would have said so. As it is, yeah she's messing with the machines (turn doesn't say, I'm assuming so though), but I have a conditional in my action to stop her from permakilling you and the nurses over with her would probably prevent her from doing that as well. Now calm down.)

((Doesnt change the fact that jim is strictly "no teamkilling" and just sat back and watched as simus switched all the life support machines off.

For all he knows she could have been planning to just leave him like that until his brain expired.))

((That's a good way to put it. If she had planned to leave you until you permadied from lack of support, she wouldn't have brought The Doctor, anyways.

And while the theatrics weren't strictly needed, as The Doctor said, if what I'm doing goes right, Auron won't be in a position to appreciate theatrics again for a very long time. He'll still be useful, though - just not as, how should I put it... impassioned.))

In your action you say you are basically the police, that means you have a responsibility to protect me from Simus and Simus from me until you find out what happened and can pass judgement, your not gonna be able get all the necessary facts without questioning Auron and you cant get those facts if Auron is a zombie.))
