What about all of us piled into the blacktop?
((Blackship! BlackSHIP! BLACKSHIIIIIP!))
(And what thread am I? Jim wasn't listed earlier... >.>)
((I'm guessing we should post here? I'll do that, see what happens.))
If I'm finally off that infernal elevator, go outside, fire off my rockets, get Joker their equipment if they don't have it already, grab a volunteer (preferably a space wizard, preferably Pancaek) and make my way towards the control towers while flying low and away from where the Amp Specialist fell, using all available sensors (cameyes, regular eyes, ears, intuition, etc) to spot the enemy, ambushes or any incoming attack. If possible, send one of those automapping drones to take a look inside the repair pit for that Amp Specialist.
Ask Steve: "Okay, can you provide information about those underground passages to the Sweep teams?
Can you give them the position of choke points?
How many choke points are there?
Could we cover the tunnels with our current manpower?
Could you provide us with sensors like those IR laser ones or cameras to set up in other choke points if we don't have enough manpower?
Or material to build barricades out of? Is collapsing the tunnels an option?
Also, any way I could take the shadow walker down non-lethally? For that matter, is he a cyborg, a human, in an exosuit? Could I knock him out or destroy his sensors or simply disarm him? Can he be spotted by cameyes?"
((Can someone else also ask questions? I hate being the only one bugging Steve like that. Granted, he's a robot, he can take it, but still...))
You're part of the shadow walker hunting team it seems. Head to the right thread after this. I labeled them. Do your action over there, with them, so we can keep this better contained and coordinated.
>I'll give them directions and info, sure.
>Yes.
>Depends on the area. And definition of choke point. A lot of the network of tunnels that are designed for human movement are pretty small, so all of those could be considered mile long choke points.
>No. I'll keep an eye out but really they're gonna be down there to search as best they can and respond if called for. You can't even fit down in most of those tunnels so it's a bit moot for you.
>You wouldn't be able to set them up in time. Besides, I have sensors down there. I'll keep watch as best I can.
>Blockading is going to take too long, and there are too many diverging paths. You'd have to build for hours or days to block all of them in one direction, let alone all of them in general.
>His camo is good. Very good. Sensors will have a hard time picking him up, regardless of what you're scanning. Look for subtle disturbances, they can block him but he'll still effect his surroundings. As per him, cyborg, no exosuit or skeleton or anything. And if I were you I wouldn't try to incapacitate him rather then kill him. It leaves much too much room for him to escape or do something drastic. ((...I thought I was somewhere else.))
We're skipping you ahead. Assume you got out, assumed your preferred shape, and got some food for extra biomass. And you're with your designated team.
STEPHEN HAWKING continues work on his personal abomination unless someone physically drags him out of the room.
I don't even remember if you're on a team so I guess you're sticking around here, playing with viscera.
Ok, the posts got eaten AGAIN. I'm seriously getting really fucking sick of that.
Have you considered doing the post in Google Docs/Word/Notepad/etc then copy-pasting them to the forum?
((Indeed. For all the good it did in the long run, all my RTD posts were pre-prepared and archived in either Excel or Notepad. It's a very good habit to form when GMing for a forum game.))
I've actually done that before and it still lost posts. Maybe it's something with my browser, I dunno. Well, at least Lazarus saves the parts that get eaten so I can just repost them. Thanks Lazarus.
