((I'd like to go after the Amp Specialist, I'll just obtain a different weapon beforehand unless I get immediately transformed into something else.))

((Quick question: what skills and gear does Stacy have right now? Cause the Amp hunt will require good offensive capabilities, and I'm not sure if he has any weapons right now that can hurt the bastard.))

((He's got a kinetic amp-hammer and little else - he also has 5 tokens, though. I was thinking I'd get 2-3 Scout Eyes, use them as diversions (and if the Amp Specialist doesn't mind them, use them to smash into his life support systems), then utilize the remaining 2-3 tokens to purchase, say, a laser rifle to shoot the fellow or an MFM to use in conjunction with the Scout Eyes (possibly piloted by other members of the team) and fry his center of mass something fierce from afar.

Furthermore, I could trade the unused kinetic hammer back in for 4 tokens and use the cash to get a Tesla Sabre or a Tesla Arc, though I seem to lack the strength to use the latter - perhaps for someone else's use in that case.))

((To be honest, I was originally going to put Stacy in a sweep team. Since you insist though, sure, he can help with the Amp hunt, but he will indeed need some better gear. I think an MFM could help, not sure about tesla sabre. You sure you wanna go in melee with the guy? It could work, mind you, just wouldn't want you to feel obliged or anything. Tesla arc seems to unwieldy, you might zap your team sooner than you zap your target.))

((It doesn't matter overmuch to me, though I would say that the Tesla Arc, if wielded by somebody reasonably competent, may actually be the best way to deal with the Amp Specialist - especially if combined with heat attacks from different sides (the rather stupid, advancing heatblade kind you can actually block) - he shouldn't be able to block lightning to any reasonable degree.

But yeah, sweep team works as well. Just bear in mind that he doesn't have the best willpower.))

((I'll see what I can do once I have a better view on who we have. For example, I'm gonna pm Ironyowl to see if she wants to play again, we can use another veteran to hunt that guy.))

Hmm. This hopefully would go away in time...

Sit in a nearby room, and start flying some drones around to try to spot some of the opposition.

"Steve: New programming for Blackship possible?
Attempt to reconnect Blackship autocontrols

Tack, what new programming are you after? Cause I already reinstalled the flight control software.

Ask Steve, head down to the blackship and reinstall the software.

>Movement is probably your best option. The Lesho shells can maneuver pretty well, but they'll need fairly large distances to do so. Keep moving, as erratically as possible, and if you see something closing, don't try to outrun it, fly  off at a 90 degree angle to it.

You head back down and reinstall the software. The EXE Steve gave you does it without a hitch.

Figure out if one can designate targets for the lasers sans reprogramming. If not, start thinking up how to change the program to accommodate that. (dynamic bonus)

Are the automated defences good enough to shoot down LESHO shells? If so, let them be, if not, then consider how to reprogram them to allow manual target locks (dynamic bonus get).

(( We already have the answer to that. Yes, they are good enough to (likely) deflect a normal LESHO round, however this is likely to *not* be useful on a nuclear LESHO round in any case, as it would simply explode in our face once the computer detected the damage ))

Also, I hear the other team is having a problem with LESHO rounds... any chance the point defense lasers on that blackship could handle that?

>Maybe. Or I should say, it will probably be at least partially effective on solid shells. Nuclear tipped shells usually have auto-detonation protocols if their shell is being compromised after firing.

((Here is the current idea on how to divide the manpower to complete our objectives. Note this isn't final just yet, though I'd like to have final squad makeup by tomorrow, so if you have complaints/ suggestions, fire away!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Note this is just an outline: for example, SC already said he'd have Jim sweep the 50th floor first. This list is really more to give an idea to people who they should pair up with and what they should do (cause some people seem to be at a loss at what to do now).

And people like Renen who are already closing in on the SW's last known location can keep pressing on if they really want to, or wait to regroup with their squad. And Miya's current team will have to finish up in the control room before being able to join their squad.

Squads with people who are injured can either wait or just head out and let that person catch up to them, I tried to spread out wounded or otherwise inactive people so no squad should (should) become terribly understrength.

We will need to get the gear of Milno team to them, they can either come pick it up at the sword, or someone with a Mk.III can go deliver it. I was thinking maybe Feyri could do this? She's close to the Sword after all, and has the mobility to do it.

And before you mention: yes, this might all be unnecessarily detailed or not needed very badly, but I think having at least an idea of who does what will really help with the hunt, and it gave me a much better view at the various assets we have now, which will help greatly in planning future missions or organizing teams.  ))

((good for me))

Quote from: Pancaek->people on amp hunting team
Hello there dear comrades,
As I am being put on the rapid response team, chances are good that I will not be there for the battle against the UWM amp specialist. I would hereby like to call dibs on that particular asshole's body. If you'd all let me call dibs on the juicy space magic generators in his brain, that would be super, but I suspect there will be other people interested in those, so I'll take what I can get. What I would like to ask is to be allowed the remains of the man's corpse, to present to The Doctor, in hopes of perhaps reverse engineering what they have done to him to be used on myself.

Kind regards and lots of hugs,
Pancaek

With that, he suddenly remembers that Steve is back online

Quote from: Pancaek -> Steve
Greetings, oh robotic overlord.
I don't suppose you know what they did to that amp specialist to make him so powerful?

Send both mails, then go to the blackship and be on standby for order. Try and get a feel for how well my mind has recovered.
