Renen in auto-mode: Follow Lyra. Protect with BT at any attack.

Renen's extra action: After safely scouting the catgirl back to the ship if she decides to stare at Maurice, leave and head to the area used for cover against the explosion. Check if there's any sign of movement around the immediate surroundings and if nothing is found, ascend to the next floor and check a few rooms.

So...I'm skipped? Ok..am I stuck in freefall?

Honestly I was expecting this to be over by now.

Did I miss your post? I didn't see your post.

"Accursed... infernal... text... damn it all... argh..."
Charles tries to break free of the phantasmal bold text controlling him, even though the current bold text is controlling him to break said text.
We can't let you break free of the text! That text is the entire universe!

You can, however, stop being electrified for now. But, to quote my highschool chem teacher "Stop talking till may"

"The sardine has gone mentally dark." The doc says, sitting down next to you on the bed -it's easy to do considering your lack of body-and pulling a book out of his jacket pocket. "Frankly, I'm not terribly surprised. Wasn't sure he was all there to begin with." he flips to a page and starts reading.

"If you want to be enhanced, I'll do it for you. Just think what you want. I'll wait." he turns the page "Better then working on civilians."
"If you want to be enhanced, I'll do it for you. Just think what you want. I'll wait." he turns the page "Better then working on civilians."
"If you want to be enhanced, I'll do it for you.
I'll do it for you.
I'll do it
Xan's head makes the most horrifyingly fascinating grin that has ever been made ever.
Well, I have some ideas...
Xan then proceeds to explain the details for an organism that he'd normally have no idea how to describe. One of those gods of medicine must've inspired him or something.

Describe potentially ridiculously OP creature, wait for Doc's response.

What book is that, if I may ask?

Inquire into Doctor reading material.
The doctor closes his book.
"That exact thing, no. Idea is interesting though. Possible to adapt something similar. Acceptable?"
He shows you the book when you ask about it.
Caligula: Divine Carnage
He chuckles. "Amusingly comedic."

You feel fine now, really.

Ok, you're firing bottle rockets around the ship's interior in the same way that a normal person might chew their nails or stroke their beard, but thats fine right?

It's not like some sort of psychic influence altered your brain chemistry to enhance your pyromaniac urges and make you a potential hazard to everyone around y...oh dang.
The Arsonist Teal sits in blank silence for a few seconds, introspectively contemplating his future whilst slowly burning a few of his fingers.
Sure. He did just help save the entire away team... But it doesn't really help that he was technically the reason they needed to be saved.

Noticing his slightly melted fingers, he switches to casually shooting bottle-rockets at Jack every minute or so.
Damn. He was going to need a little more fire resistance at this rate.

Giving a quick thump to the wall beside him to get Skylar's attention, he gives a very enunciated "I don't care if you want to scout with this thing, but you better not take 4 people's lives into your hands when you do." downwards point.

After that, he points Denzel to the ship's mainframe/datapad/point of information access/terminal.

His jobs suitably 'done', he takes his hands off his flammables for a few seconds in order to send a wristpad message.
Quote from: Teal > Steve
I need Doc.
Fix my brain.
Until then, zap me.

I guess this is all a turn.

((In my defense, I did only slightly more collateral damage than the "mission 4" mindhacked people.))
>This might sting a hell of a lot.

He is correct. And You are now unconscious. And smoldering.

"Thanks, doctor! You're the best. I was thinking of asking for some more limbs, for this creative project I was going to try, but maybe that's not the best idea. You see, I had this idea - wheels! Get wheels on my feet, attach them to electric motors, that sort of thing, become a wheelman! Then again, I could just get a pair of rollerblades, if the armory has them. At any rate, thanks again!"

A hop, a skip and a jump away from the medbay, dance over to and inquire at armory.

"Hi, Sandy! I was wondering if you had any rollerskates. Or rollerblades! And also whether I could get either of those for free!"

"...I'd ask if Maurice checked you for brain damage but I know better then that. Rollerblades huh? We can do that. Any specifications?"

((Why does 'robotic swordsman' and genetically engineered cat person sound completely normal to me? I guess my family is kind of insane really))
"Oh ok that'll be fine then wait, when did the genetically altered cat come about?"
follow Steves orders anyway and keep a lookout for the other invisible assassins, if anyone is hurt, scream, fire wildly in the direction it came from and give my emergency medkit to anyone more specialised in that area, not nessecarily in that order
You stick with Robo-stabs and Kitten Galore.

Thanks for the suggestions, Steve. We'll secure the data for you, then head back to the facility and see what we can do.

Slow the ship down, then study the ship controls to get a better idea of what equipment it has.
Main interests of the search: Does the ship have weapons and mastering the ship controls so I don't have to make more AUX rolls to fly it normally :P

If none of my fellows do, search the ship computers for 'interesting data'

[aux:5+1-1]
You slow the ship down and start bringing it around in a slow arc back towards the sword. You carefully study the controls and the layout of the ship. It does have weapons of a sort, point defense lasers. They seem reasonably powerful, though using them as weapons might be a bit difficult; you'd have to override a few protocols.

...
Look down at my wrist-comp for a second, then promptly leave the area and go to the infirmary and sit down in front of Maurice. make eye contact.
You pad your way back to the infirmary and stare at maurice.

"What is it girl?" He asks. "Did timmy banish himself into the void again?"

"so what now, I can run a diagnostic/check of the ship while you fly yeah I'll do that... uhh captain guy...?"
pull up a co-pilot chair if available run diagnostic on shipboard systems & connections internally and externally
"Got to tie you up, Teal."

Restrain Teal, then look for data.
Considering Kri seems to have that under control, I'm just gonna have ya both search for data. Yay data.

[aux:3]
[aux:2]

Denzel and Mike sort of hen peck at the ship's console and scratch their heads in confusion as they fail to find anything more interesting then the screen saver.

Renen in auto-mode: Follow Lyra. Protect with BT at any attack.
You follow Lyra back to the infirmary, your new human friend in tow.

Gorat nods. "Yes, that's all right. Let's do it. Since we're here already, let's start with number 4, and 1 of course. Can we jump on the gangway from here? Steve, can we get a floorplan of our immediate surroundings?"

Look out the window at the gangway. Does it look like we could jump out the window onto the gangway relatively safely? Also, ask Steve.
((Missed a spot (check)))
-Home Team, Office-

"That's a rather optimistic thought.

Be ready to go sniper on any enemies approaching the ship. Also do the above.

Spoiler: Gorat 'Chin' Ivanos (click to show/hide)
[/quote]
No, jumping is a poor idea.

You point your rifle out the window and watch as Renen, the Cat girl and some guy you don't recognize head back into the ship. Hmm. Shoulda shot the new guy. You didn't recognize him. You could have gotten away with it.

Honestly I was expecting this to be over by now. I was expecting feyri to activate her rockets right away, not check Their fuel levels. So no. You really can't out race her to the ground.
((Well, Tiruin hadn't had Feyri activate the rocket yet when I posted that.))

Quote
Elevator speed isn't under your control anyways. Elevator determines speed and acceleration, deceleration based on the number of floors between it's location and it's destination.
((Not even with the repair kit and a lot of ingenuity?))

Quote
Also, talking whilst in the middle of a jump? What is this, a comic book?
((Feyri already did that once. Also hey, you link to YouTube and I link to TV Tropes. I thought we had a deal!))

Quote
>Oh, they made it out fine. Stole the Blackship and flew away. My annoyance is tempered by the knowledge that at least that was successful. As per fallout and civilian casualties...minor I would say. No civs in the area that I saw or could otherwise detect and we can handle the fallout. Our bombs are pretty clean burning so to speak. Only the crater is gonna be a real problem. And we have plenty of people who are ready, questionably willing, and able to go work there until it's clean. First on the list: the guy who kicked the damn bomb into the damn shipyards.
((Steve still sounds a bit off...))

Head to ground level. Wonder if anyone else is going to accompany me.
You reach ground level. Feyri does too, using her rockets. Everything is great.

You know what?  Someone just blew things up, and we could all be dead in a few minutes.  I'm going to call smoke break as I'll bet this is the last chance.

Get out a smoke, take out banjo, start tuning up.  Keep an eye on the drone in the hall while tuning.

You pull off your helmet and begin smoking. You begin playing and singing an appropriate song.

Anton frowns.

"You seem to sound different, Steve. Problems with.. whatever that was? ARES?"

He moves forward along the concourse, taking the course most likely to lead in the direction of the shipyards.

"It's good to hear there probably weren't many civilians, but we will really need someone on the scene. If there are any problems you can't see in there, we might need to react quickly. If you have any directions to give, to any areas you think might need our presence, Feyri and I could use them."

Chat with Steve, move as close as is safe to the site of the blast. Keep an eye out for possible enemies, and/or people in need of help.
Steve directs you back toward the blast site, past The robo samurai and the cat girl and their human tagalong. You turn the corner they were hiding behind and have a pretty good view of the crater through the shattered windows of the building.

Much of the shipyards has collapsed or is twisted and broken beyond use. Like a wire mesh held over a blowtorch, it has slumped in to the pit and is still glowing hot on it's edges. The pit is slag and little else, a smoldering hole in the ground throwing out smoke and radiation.

"Well, there's your problem."

To Steve: "Understandable. Want me to kick teal in the balls for you? Or just let you deal with him?"

Go help retrieve data. If someone already is, assist Skylar with the controls/weapons.
Teal just tazered himself and Skylar is doing good, so you go try to get some data. You shove the two guys already there out of the way and try your luck.
[aux:6+1]

Good news: You ripped the entire contents of the ship's computer onto your own suit computer!
Bad news: You deleted the originals
Good news: That shouldn't matter as long as you can manage to get your suit back to the Sword for them to get the data from.
Bad news: Your fucking of the ship computer now means Kri is flying completely manually without anything but basic instrumentation. And that means he's gonna have a hell of a lot harder of a time doing anything but fly straight.

"Hrmm. So, I have this knife that seems to cause sociopathic urges when you grab it. Would the sudden change in personality be enough of a shock? And for this Timmey, what exactly is he, aside from insane, extremely dangerous and sealed in an endless void for all time? How would I kill him, or at least severely inconvenience him?"

Questions!

((Shhhhh. Be vewwy veeewwwy qwiet. I'm hunting demons.))
"I don't know. It might. Might make it worse too. You're trying to cure poisoning with more poison. Timmy is some former Corp member who played too much with one of Nyar's toys and got himself pseudo-murdered by it. I'd recommend not trying to fight, confront or otherwise interact with him. There's a chance he might be sort of deathless."

Next turn. Thats a bit too much ground to cover all at once.

"Well, you see, I don't really want rollerblades as much as I want a set of wheels to ride around on. Perhaps even adjust my body to serve as a fast-moving vehicle, like one of those Transmurderer toys that used to be popular where I was from. It would require an engine, of course, though I suspect I have a not-too-powerful version of that on me already, giving me the ability to move and whatnot. Ooh, maybe I could attain the ability to transform into a motorized skateboard! That would protect me from rapidly approaching incoming objects while allowing me to either advance or run away! And I could even carry a teammate on me as a decoy!"

"Say, has anyone had a similar idea before? I have heard that the big bad medicine man in the infirmary, the one who's not the nice one, takes requests if they're funny or original enough. Would that work, do you think? Or should I just stick to personally-available methods? If I was to ask you to perform such a modification, dear Sandy, how much would that cost?"

"Uhhhhh. I may have had a bit of a chat with him. Well, more of him babbling about not having any visitors and giving me a backstage tour, and me saying to hell with that. So, should I go see a doctor? I mean, he got close enough to start messing with my head. Hrmm. So if he's so powerful, how would you have dealt with him? Not to doubt your abilities of course, but how exactly to you deal with that sort of entity?"

Questions, then go see a doctor about a post mindfuck brain scan.

... Hansen, I'm revoking your permission to touch my ship. Though do try and put the flight computer back, thank you. Steve, doing anything but bringing this back to you is a no-go for now. You have a good landing site in mind, or should a good landing site be obvious once I'm back in sight of the Sword?

Take it slow back towards the Sword, study the controls in preparation for a manual landing.

Ask Steve that quick question
