Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Try again. While the scanning is a ruse, do keep an eye on the feeds to spot possible assailants, and remember to check for vantage points on the nearby roofs and other buildings.

"Oh good the sniper is dead. Let's get a move on. And someone take dead dude back to Steve along with Stacy-bot if possible. Or leave him there. Everyone else, let's go find ourselves a ship."

lead team to where Steve said the cage with the ship in it was. Board a ship at random if possible.
The cage itself is easy enough to find; the number was scrubbed but the numbers on the two cages beside it are intact. Not exactly the best hiding spot.

The blackship itself actually isn't black at all, It's a dull silver spike with bulbous rocket engines, looking more like some sort of strange aerodynamic seed pod then a spaceship. The door into the ship is locked, obviously, and there's a keypad and biosensor near it.

((You gotta love "All My Parasitic Alien Offspring".))

"Friends ask me, am I in love? I always answer ye-es! Might as well confe-ess, if the answer's ye-es!"

Wait a few moments. If nobody gets shot, drag self back to ship with one arm (or somebody's help) and obtain new limbs. And miscellaneous repairs, you know.
You grab Xan's head and place it on your back, wedged into the bullet hole to stop it from rolling away. And then you begin dragging yourself away. Very slowly.

"This is really gonna suck when I hit those stairs." You sing to yourself.

Look around. I assume I didn't get shot by the sniper, died and couldn't find where, or cancelled job: not that stupid,
You appear to be standing on the walkways amongst the cages and over the repair pit. You also appear not to have been shot. Cool! You take your not shot self over to the blackship along with the others.

"Ok, I'll take the emergency kit and a laser rifle, best stuff I can get really, at the moment anyway"
The armory master hands you your rifle and med kit.
"Try not to get those two mixed up."

((:P well that went considerably better then I expected. And don't get too caught up on me leaving things vague. I have like 8 other character concepts in my head at any given moment. Granted STEPHEN HAWKING is a pretty awesome sonovabitch, but just saying, I know how lethal this game is. Also I have C3S and I am still trying to get that recognized as an actual thing.))

"OH fine. I was just trying to help. I mean seriously, I assumed you WANTED him traumatized. Wait a second, you're that kid the dancing robot was giving things to? Maybe I COULDN'T traumatize you."
Use myINVENT words of appeasing. Defuse situation
"SHNIK SHORBIT HABIATOL HOOBASTANK"

((Yeah, I have the tear, hoping to save it for a true emergency.))
Continue to guard the gangway, check to see how exposed my location would be to a sniper.
You're pretty good, you think. Basically the only way you could be shot is from directly above. So assuming they don't have flying snipers, you're fine.

...They don't have flying snipers, right?

"Never heard of them! Hey, you know where we are?"

INITIATE CONVERSATION. AQUIRE INFORMATION.

((Hrmmm. I wonder if it'll take offense to my taste in music. Also, can I assume Timmy's transformation is the sort of thing everyone knows about, and is talked about in hushed whispers?))
The only response is a long burst of canned laughter. Or at least a very good impression of a laugh track. It distorts at the end, twisting into a bizarre Shepard tone. The light is getting brighter and larger very quickly.

((I had forgotten about Timmy. And it looks like he's found a friend.))

Head to the right hanger while carrying Stacy, keeping on guard and in cover. If I'm there already, do I see a blackship? If so, make my way there while staying in cover.
You scoop the Stacy-Xan Chimera up as it tries to crawl away and join the rest of the team gathering at the blackship's door.

((Calm your collective farms.))

T. stares at the casually rolling kt bomb with a feeling of absolute dread. Not only did he give away a perfectly good explosive, but he put it directly where a talented sniper could shoot it.
Still, no time to worry about losing his beloved fireball-in-a-can.
Look around for an open ship and attempt to board it.
[will:3]
Teal leaps to his feet, grabs the rolling bomb and charges over to the side of a space ship. He doesn't get in though, he's far too busy caressing the bomb and making cooing noises.

"Screw it. We've bonded now. I could never leave you."
T. tucks his wonderful explosive in his pack after mentally giving it the name 'Jon', after '1/8 KiloJon'.
Head for the mysterious docking bay, and attempt to enter ship if possible
[will:6]
You walk over to the blackship and rub Jon against the door.

"Don't worry guys, Jon's an expert hacker. He'll have this open in a jiffy!"

You keep rubbing it against the door for several minutes, a giant grin plastered on your face.

... Alright then. No more sniper. I just hope that wasn't the ship we were looking for. I suppose we'll find out soon. I'm going to try and repair Buttle real quick and then... Oh for fuck's sake... Steve, please electrocute Teal if he doesn't put that bomb away. He seems to be having problems related to holding out an explosive while in the middle of our team.

(( Let me know if you have a problem being electrocuted for failing to put the bomb away, Tack, and I'll fiddle with the post. ))

order 1 drone to search the local area for cameras, order 2 drones to find the next junction for the ship OR escort people looking for it.

Then head over and repair up Stacy.

>Unconscious or just an electrospanking?

[aux:3+1]
The first drone searches around for cameras, but fails to find any. The other two just sort of repeatedly bump into Denzel's head like they're trying to robo-mate with it.

The ship in the cage, the cage, and everything in several dozen meters in any direction vanishes, reduced to a molten slag that pours down into the repair pit below.
((Dammit Xantalos.))

Run away from Steven Child-Abuser and towards the Sword. Assuming Grate remembers the way. He has a high Intelligence, he should be crap I jinxed it didn't I?

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

You run crying to the ship and hide in the armory.

Unconscious, if he brings out that bomb again near us. He seems to keep taking it out, staring at it, then putting it away, makes me suspect he's being controlled and repeatedly fighting it off. That, or he's just that enamored with staring at the bomb.

Hey, whoever has those cam-eyes, you see anything in that ship?

Repair Stacy to the point that he can limp back to ship for repairs.

Then head over to our target ship and sweep for cameras.

(Youtube video of Bolin crying)
((I don't suppose that those two were saying highly traumatizing and confusing things? Also where do you get these videos? And please don't just say Youtube.))

Grate, back at the ship, kicks a wall.
"Ow. That was dumb...almost as dumb as going out with Miss Feyri. What can I do? Glare them to death?"
He formalizes his wandering into a path for the dormitory.
"I'm useless. I can't do anything, unless maybe something gets broken and I need to fix it. And when something breaks...everything always breaks.

"Stupid omnicidal maniacs. Stupid out-of-control space magic stuff."

Before long, Grate reaches the dormitory. He sits on a bed, thinking.

What am I good at? What makes me not dead weight?
Well, I guess I could be a bullet sponge, but I'm not big or threatening enough for anyone to intentionally shoot at me when other people are around, so that's even stupider than it sounded a minute ago.
I guess I could use some kind of techy stuff...
Grate checks his pockets to see how many tokens he has. (I've forgotten, and I don't trust the Morons In Space doc to be up-to-date.)
"I could get what, a Scout Eye? Medicine? Maybe some better armor? There's tons of eyes already, and they're not that useful really. Medicine? I'm no medic. It's better than nothing, but I can't do anything. Especially when people get stabbed in the back with chunks of frozen air or exploded by their own magic sand or blown apart with layshow rifles or something. I guess I could take heads back, maybe get a monorazor, but Head Recovery Guy isn't very useful."

Grate lay on the bed for several minutes, thinking. Then his head turned towards his locker.

"...I could try that. But last time someone played with that, it made things...worse. I need to test it. And for that, I need subjects. Ideally pretty similar, to minimize error and stuff. And I don't think that the others would take a bunch of dangerous pills just to see what happens...maybe I should look into getting lab rats. Like, literal ones. Or maybe guinea pigs, those are cute. Pretty big, though, mice might be better. Lizards don't eat much, though."

"...Who am I kidding, I'll take what I can get."

Head to the AM and Doctor, figuring out the theoretical prices of rats, guinea pigs, mice, lizards, rabbits, zebrafish, octopi, fruit flies, or whatever lab animals are available on the Sword. See if I can figure out some sort of deal to get a bunch for free, or a lifetime supply for a few tokens, or something--maybe I promise the Doc I'll let him have my test subjects after I'm done with them?

-Home Team-

"Steve, is there anything we can do beyond crouching here and pointing our weapons at the door?"

Ask. Be ready to defend the ship. Use the rifle to focus on attackers. Heat a 1-foot sphere in the center of mass of any attackers that come rather than firing the rifle, though.

Hmm..  "Gorat, you want to get off the gangway?  I think there's an unguarded nuke that was left in the room on the other side of the massive tear in the wall.  I think the ninja with the sword was in there, but he may not have noticed the loose nuke."
