The japanese may have stolen the MK3.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beKkf8Oo0GU

It's even called the MK 3
((The bastards. But if that is how protective the MK3 is, I shudder to think of what MKI looks like.

...Or maybe you should face the fact that an MK3 appears to not be a very unique name for sci-fi suits.))

((There's a very interesting contrast between the people in regards to each mission's scenario. While the situations are similar, but there's the "FUCK THIS FUCK EVERYONE", and "Well let's all hug and end it all poetically." I hypothesize this is due in direct ratio to the number of newbies-per-veterans in each mission.))
((Really? And what is the difference in the ratios then? Also, I think you're going a little overboard with the contrast. Simply because May has adopted this attitude doesn't mean the rest of the team did. I haven't seen anyone actually truly abandoned as you were running away.))

Why are 100% of my posts in ER? I already have another account. Created this one specifically for playing.

Not online every Friday evening till Saturday night. If I am listed as online, I am still not online, as my computer has an annoying habit of waking up to the tiniest distraction and then going off to sleep again.

Oh please, they only abandoned most of you.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

(( You hardly got abandoned, we have your head :P
I didn't even think of grabbing your toys, though. Apologies XD. I'm pretty sure no one besides faith could have reasonably carried your body and not get killed by Ice-9. Unless someone else had a MK3? I don't know, I was just a med tech on the way past after someone had already removed your head. ))

((If steve hits the ice-9 hard enough with his laser banks he might be able to remove the effect and your amp happy teammates can dig your stuff out for you.))

(( Hmm... that one of us should have tried, I'm an Aux specialist and could have run by and tried something. My char, however, was more concerned with making sure he was clear of Ice-9, given that he had just vaporized a piece of ice the size of a boulder that would have rendered him slightly more dead that Feyri XD ))

((Yeah, he was nowhere near the required proximity to do that. They would either need to have something that allows high speed movement like another MkIII or be close enough to have enough time.))

(( No, I was plenty close at the time. Feyri was actually ahead of most of us when she died, in the middle of the second level terrace while we were on the second level stair. One of us could have easily tried to do something as we ran past, if we weren't quite so panicked about the ice... And my character was well and truly panicked about the ice XD ))

(By the way, I was thinking. Can't the doctor regrow bodies or something? Feyri might want to look into that so she doesn't have to be mostly robot. I'm planning on having Jim ask the Doc for one if I get to 10 and donating the synthflesh body to some lucky person.)

((hey piecewise i have a question about kinetic amps, it says in the armory they can amplify kinetic force by up to a square of the original, does this mean that they can be tweaked to provide equal or lesser amounts of force as well?))

(( They can indeed, Faith asked about it when she got botted. I can't remember what the stated cost was, but it was definitely in the 'possible' category. A waste of tokens until it's time to leave, since it gives you literally nothing except a human body. :P ))

((Since they're essentially automanipulators with nothing but perhaps a battery in terms of external components, I doubt it's really feasible to tweak them, per se. "Up to a square" is in terms of efficiency - the more force amplified, the more of it is lost to heat.))

Noticing that the two people were ignoring her, Astra just sighs and walks off. Considering a problem about getting mentally tired from using Field manipulators. As she was almost certainly going to need to fight in this operation Calla has a couple of ideas.

Does anyone know where you can test out ideas for new equipment?

(insert steve snark)

Go to the VR and load up tinker, Get the Coils from a gauss rifle and put an appropriate sized cylinder of steel in them, with a kinetic amplifier on the end, with a hemisphere of lets go titanium but any non ferrous, hard metal would suffice and a bulb on the rear end to prevent it coming out

Cup sort of looks like that (but more rounded) Kinetic amp goes on the bottom.

Fire the device to see if a shockwave is generated in that setup

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!
