"You know, while I'm here..."
Find the Doctor.
"Hi, Doc, I have a question. You said I'm not entirely human. Got any not-entirely-human food for me? I'm feeling kind of hungry. I tried the mess hall, but stuff tastes like ash there."
Ask.
You look around for the Doctor but can't find him around anywhere.
((He's got a point. We're all pretty much canabals by now...))
"Woah... Better cut down on the pills for awhile."
Go to the gym and do some exercise to increase my endurance.
[end:5] You row for several minutes until your arms and lungs burn.
I proceed to a doorway out of the inmates section and proceed to swiftly hack the system opening the door then i begin looking for a control panel.
You walk to the rec room and are in the process of trying to pry a metal panel off the wall to get at what you assume is the control panel when you collapse into a twitching ball of pain.
>Did I mention the shock implant on your spine? Yeah. Shock implant on your spine. Also, stop that. '10 missions eh? Hmm, shouldn't be that difficult, right? I mean, how hard can it be?'
((i'm soo going to be eating those words ))
'If that's the case, you can sign me up, the sooner this is over the better.'
wander around ship, stop by armory
'Hey there, you're the one selling all our equipment, right?'
'Judging by your past experiences, what would you advise a fresh 'recruit' should buy for his very first undoubtedly enthralling journey into the unknown?'
'And do you happen to have any instructional material regarding that equipment? Anything would be appreciated.'
(Amps are limited in use only by the will of the user. But thats a sort of invisible stat that does drain, so using them a lot all at once can end very badly. Field manipulators have a limit like that as well as a battery, but they're marginally safer plus you can have as many as you want. With Amps (and any brain implants really) you can only have 3.)
((Ah, thanks for clearing that up))
The armory master holds her finger in her book and speaks without actually looking at you.
"I'd suggest a gun of some sort. Maybe a Laser rifle or a Gauss rifle and a kinetic amplifier or monoatomic razor if you've got the skill for it. Also, I have a manual for the laser rifle. It's not the original, it's one they made for the current army, but it's the best you'll get."
"What kinda metal?"
Something reasonably strong, and somewhat... in a way that shatters.
"Strong but brittle, alright." She hands you the supplies you requested along with several sheets of a blackish strange feeling metal.
"Be careful when you cut it."
Try to get up.
"Ow...what the hell happened?"
"Your brain was practically flooded in about a dozen different neurotransmitters." A nurse says as she wipes foam from your mouth. You sit up and she grimaces. "You really should lay down for a bit. We had to neutralize a lot of chemicals in your head and we're not sure if there will be short term side effects."
