(( And here I feel obliged to mention that I have also thought over making an AI - or, well, semi-AI (VI, not-true AI, whatever) - to assist in a number of tasks. Probably going to start tinkering on it after the end of this mission - well, unless I die die, of course.
Care to allow me into your company of 'cool hackers'? :P
Oh, and the main problem with VR-like persona simulation, I think, is the hardware constraints. I suppose the original VR machines may be hooked directly onto spare parts of Steve's brain, and I'm not sure that, short of pooling tokens on a public project, we could afford a wetware computer. I might be totally mislead, though.))

((I had been considering this as well, when I was playing as Nick.

meson, you've boarded a ship as a tech guy when there is already me, the Techborg, Nikitian, the Techmedic, Bishop, the Insane Techie, and several other tinkering players.

We make armor, we make weapons, we make systems. Another guy helps, but while that is more prototypes being tested, there is a reward for successful stuff, I believe. More people, more split up rewards, but faster tech movement.))

((Use the Tinker program in VR, it's much better than a datapad, even for programming. Just be warned, Tinker is addicting and there is no cure nor treatment save more Tinker or physical prototyping, which, by the way, is funded by Steve.))

Backs away No thanks i think ill go to the med bay i havnt had the best of luck with other people.

((An AI should fit onto it if it dosnt ill just have to get an external memory card of some sort to store it on but id expect the tablet will work. And my character is built as an auxiliary system specialist so i have the skills for it i just need a good roll.
Ive got a few uses for one im gonna need 2 AI and both should come in rather handy for my purposes.))

Walks down to the med bay to have my injury tended.
You walk to the Infirmary and just kind of gesture at your open stomach wound until a doctor comes to help you. Some time and a good deal of stitches, cauterizing and pain killers later you're shoved back out into the ship.

I think I have learned all I could from this esteemed master. I can't wait to put all this knowledge to use! But first, more TV.
Replete with fresh magical expertise, change the channel to something mentally relaxing, yet viscerally stimulating. Not these educational programs with their dry lessons on how to improve one's warlock-y abilities.
You flip around till you find a show called "Scarification: LIVE!"

"Ok."

holster rifle then whatch knife thorwing on tv.
Your rage dulled somewhat you sit on the couch and tell Timmy to change the channel to Knife catching. He ignores you.

"Nope sorry i think ill try the med bay first im attached to my fingers."

(( Ill sort the AI or VI out first then ill see if i need to upgrade my tablet to handle it but since im going for a normal AI not one like Steve the tablet should do it.
Also GM can we get like an implant directly into our brains?
What he said about it requiring a human brain got me thinking maybe i could make the AI and intergrate it into my own brain and then connect it upto the HUD network to allow it to send and receive information to the whole team ))

You're welcome to mess around and try to do such a thing. There's no problem I have with it, though such things my have unintended consequences unless you're very careful.

(( I think ill just stick to my normal programming for now i wanna fine tune my jamming program so that i can jam only what i want to.
Then ive got to design a scrambling program to disable any security camera's in the area.
Then im gonna see what i can do to improve on the Camera drone's to make them a bit more reliable.
Then im gonna get my hands on an AI that i can use as a kind of assistant to help me with analysis and scanning and that kinda thing.
Not quite sure what im gonna do to that once ive got it running though i want to make it entirely self sufficient so i can just give it a job and leave it to it.

Then im gonna work on some form of implant plugged directly into my brain so that i can connect the AI to it and give it a major boost to its processing power plus then i dont need a storage device for it and can lose the tablet entirely and just use the transmitter and HUD in the suit and probably upgrade the suit. ))

Goes to the armory and requests a mk II suit and then changes into it before going to the nearest VR station where i bring up the schematics and data on the suit and begin looking for a way to integrate the tablet directly into the suit to combine there processing powers.

((You're free to try, of course, but that still doesn't explain why you think a standard tablet is as powerful as a smart person's brain.))

((Uh oh. Murderous split personality here we come.))

((Then ive got to design a scrambling program to disable any security camera's in the area.))
((If you're talking about the on-ship ones, bear in mind that Steve's senses are probably quite a bit more complex than just a handful of cameras lying around. I don't doubt you could work out something to disable normal cameras, but blinding Steve would probably be a pretty monumental feat. Remember, he's not just on the ship, he is the ship.

Plus, if you annoy him he'll shock you. Not that you said anything about actually using it, but presumably you intend to at some point.))

((
Ill only get split personality's if i get it wrong :) or if i decide to give my AI limited control of my body.
Which would admittedly be pretty damned cool and make my character more interesting :).

Once i design it i intend to collect my tablet upload it onto it and then asks for Steve's permission to activate it for 3-4 seconds just to check it works then hand the tablet back in.

I may adjust my plans a bit though ive had an interesting idea that i want to test out first.

Im gonna use up all my starting tokens on a mk II suit then ill have to see if i cant earn a couple more before my first mission.

Will the armory master make changes to equipment if i give him the schematics and information to do it?
Or do i have to find a player who can do it for me?)).

Just use the weight lifting machine.

((Do the exercise machine increase strength or just there to be used?))

((Steve probably wouldn't mind a short burst, or at least not mind enough to shock you. I could be completely wrong, however. And I guess finding out if it worked without asking him will also probably be impossible anyway, so you might as well.

AM will do modifications for you for money. I think she's done one or two things for free (specifically, Milno's honey badger helmet), but those might have been part of a paid process (he was upgrading the armor and I think helmet at the time) or because she likes him.

To get it done for free, you'll need to find a teammate, yeah.))

Roger resists the urge to smash the plate the rest of the way, and instead tries to attach the remaining three.

>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.
