Lyra Saves and Exits stretches, and wanders aimlessly around on the Sword, seeing what other people are doing.
By the look of it, there are two in the vr, one talking to nurses and another swearing at the armory kiosk about wanting the power to burn the world.

Arty thanks the nurse and dons a lab coat. Noticing the anthropomorphic cat with thumbs, he approaches it slowly and crouches near Lyra, careful to keep out of her attack range.
"Hello, there! I'm Dr. Arty, what is your name? Are you a cat modded to human, a human with cat traits, or were you created like that", he asks in a soothing tone.
Lab coat on, I suppose.

New pitch, any or all of these:

1.  Alright, how about replacing both arms with robotic limbs?  These should be rocket propelled, so his punches will be ridiculously strong.  Some modifications to the shoulders may be required to prevent traumatic limb loss.
2.  Also, the fists on the arms can detach and hone in on enemies, punch them to bits, and then return and re-attach.
3.  Perhaps also outfit him with explosive holy hand grenades, inert until primed, stored in his left arm.  They are designed to be "punched" at the enemy where they will explode with incredible force.  They should sing "HALLELUJAH" upon detonation.
4.  He can emit a powerful chemical cocktail to "inspire" his allies to mindless aggression, without team killing tendencies, however.
5.  To help him get into melee range with distant foes, he should get a jetpack strapped to his back.  However, instead of making him go up, it should make him go forward ridiculously quickly.  The flame burns a holy white.
6.  Lastly, he has a removable "holy ax" (small electric guitar) built into his right arm.  When he plays certain chords or awesome solos on it, the ax acts as either a flamethrower, sub-machine gun, continuous laser cannon, or (though this mode is so difficult to trigger as to be impossible to toggle accidentally) a nuke after engaging the ax's "righteous self-destruct mode."

If the Doctor remains skeptical, or if possible directly after the procedure:
Accept duel request.
You get a response telling you to "Go Kill Renen".

You get a strange feeling he's making fun of you.

send request for duel to other person using vr.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3maSyYEfCE

Well someone accepted it, but I don't think they were who you were expecting.

In any case, set the parameters.

"I'm Dr. Arty. That way? Thank you."

Arty heads to the VR and runs "Tinker".

((Should I take it to the Hephestus OOC thread, or am I mistaken?))
ooooh...I'll have to actually do tinker again?

ALRIGHT, FINE.

Tinker thread is reopened. Post or repost whatever you want me to look at.

((Oh shi-))
Iveson shouts the following: "Steve, can you hear this?  Do you know who Renen is, and where he is?  I want to have a talk with him."

When the duel starts:
"SURRENDER OR BE HUMBLED BEFORE THE POWER OF GOD, SMALL ONE!"
Sprint at Abigail as quickly as possible while moving erratically from side to side.  While running, fire at her with the blaster pistol.  When critically close to her, draw and slice with the lightsaber in one fluid motion.

Renen wakes up from stasis.... that was a very big time away....

Looks around and try to understand what happened in the period.

Mycroft wanders.  Then an alert goes off on his wristpad and he heads straight to VR to Tinker with the new goodies.

He can already see a niche that hasn't been filled yet.

((@Grunhill: I don't know if piecewise will inform you of this, but those kinamps your body has are infected by the Lurker like most amps and are no longer reliable. From what I understand, they might blow up a building with a small tap or they might render a blow completely harmless. And the more you use them, the worse things will get. You might want to either use them sparingly or ask the doc to replace them.

@Grunhill: The enhanced capacity only costs 10 tokens, not 20.

Also I suggest selling or giving away your Mk2 suit because it's entirely useless to robots.
And you still have Faith's amp studded club. Might want to give that back. Honestly no one should be using that thing now though.

Still proud of having managed to socialize the availability of vital signs monitoring, Arty ponders on what to do next.
"Socialism is revolution, socialism is evolution", he quotes from some half-remembered pamphlet. Deciding to work a bit more on behalf not only of his current comrades* but for mankind in general, Arty continues tinkering, this time for a robotic gurney.

*Quick history lesson for those who think it's a bad word: communists considered themselves ideological revolutionaries, and called those who "fought" alongside them (both literal and metaphorically) "comrades", which was the proper word for "brothers in arms" until liberal capitalists expunged the meaning from the English language - see the etymology.

((Well, not expunged, more painted over with negative connotations.))
Anyone looking at Mycroft's session of Tinker would see him quickly whipping up a combination of bits from the newly released Solid Light gear and a basic tablet, as well as a set of AR contacts.

"...It's a simple matter of taking these primitives, which already exist, and providing a decent interface to apply them with.

I mean, really?  How did not ONE person think of this?!"

I Head over to the Armory and purchase a Haber's Implant, and have it properly installed at the medbay. Afterwards I then slowly walk around the ship and adjust to the new sensations and feelings, establishing a baseline and generally locating any oddities on-ship.
