((narcolepsy is not normal))

I take a few steps down the hallway towards the Mess Hall, then glance back over my shoulder to see if the girl is following me.

Quote from: Root to Eddie
Wow, 4443, huh? You and I must not be from the same planet, I was frozen in 1017...was it 1017? Maybe 18, though that hardly makes a difference. I don't know my history too well, but the current (well, current then, anyway) world government was about a millennium old, bunch of pompous bastards, if you ask me, always going on about rising from the ashes and all that. I don't know my history all too well, sorry. But life was good, don't get me wrong. Got plenty of things done despite a nasty tumor.

Anyway, my life was just about up, I was put on ice in the hopes that I could be revived someday, and now I'm here. Dunno where here is, doesn't look like the inside of any spaceship I've ever seen. And now we're going to a heavily-industrialized planet, something that makes conceptual sense but boggles my mind from the sheer scale. You seem like you're used to this stuff, that's a pity, you shouldn't let yourself get accustomed to the extraordinary, it takes all the wonder out of life.

But yes, when I was put on ice, our cryopreservation systems were still very experimental.  Dr. Wrodklu's lab had managed to revive several volunteers who'd been iced for ten years, and they projected that my chances of survival would be higher if I was frozen for a few decades, so I did it, and now, well, I'm alive and I can't feel my tumor so I guess it worked! My corpse seems to have left the planet, and left everything I know, though. Quite the shock, you know, to have this all thrust upon you. And you have the guff to think I'm lying. Hrmph. I don't blame you though, I can't explain how I got here either. Maybe I forgot.

Oh well, before getting frozen I'd already said my last goodbyes, hugged my wife, written my will, so I guess I've already died from one life, and another looks poised to begin anew, in the best way possible, with exciting science. At least I hope so. Not that it matters, I have nothing left!

((ramble ramble ramble, faff faff faff. Befriend old men at your peril, they forget how to shut up))

@PW: my bolded actions are collected together in a later post
Go stasis myself, enough non-mission talking for today. Before entering stasis, though, dictate everything I've learned to be stored in my wristpad, in a file labeled 'frunze'.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

"Oh good GRIEF.  Calm DOWN, and do stop threatening me.  You're weak, you're sick, you're probably malnourished, and you are barely a teenager.  Also you need to see a psychiatrist or a psychologist or something.  But seriously.    If they were going to cut anything out, they would have done it while you were in stasis.  Oh thanks."
Mycroft tries to call for a doctor to take care of Abigail.
