Could you give me only the soldier types list? Like shadow walkers, arbiters, etc..., the ones that are one person, or a copy of one.

Hum... Thanks, I will do some research for some info.

Go to the VR. Try to research about Shadow Walkers and their creator. See if we can access any info about him in the VR, or if it's classified.

Not that hard really. People have maximum reaction times, plus using an amp requires more thought then just thinking about where you want it to hit. Takes a second or two for them to aim and fire. And He can be in a different place by that time.

Then again, if you can stop a bullet from hitting you... Those don't take a second to hit at short range, yet here we are.

It seems amp use times change as plot dictates. Practicality ho!

((Looking at the speed of a bullet, by the time someone pulls the trigger, you have less than a second to stop the bullet, at short range at least. Not even counting the reaction time you'd need to know a bullet is speeding your way.))

I like to think of that more as "They see the gun pointing at them, so they put up a simple wall as a preemptive move."  That or it's a snap reaction which, if it succeeds works fine, but if it doesn't, a snap thought of "STOP!" goes from protective shield to organ melting shockwave.

Plus, really, the only times people get reactive stuff like that tends to be either special NPC's or players who I want to give one last chance to protect themselves, despite it being kinda cheaty on their part.

Really, I'm stacking the scales in player favor with lots of stuff.

I could offer you dozens of different, rational, believable explanations for a single thing but how would you know which one, if any, was the truth. In the end, your decision to trust me will simply be one of faith. Do you trust me not to abuse those chips in your brain, and instead use them only for things like keeping track of your whereabouts and monitoring your vitals? Do trust me to steer this conflict towards the best outcome for humanity as a whole?

I can tell you what will happen. You won't be able to go back to how it was, you won't be able to share it, but I can tell you. I can show you the simulations. The ones that continue on past our victory. Do you really want to know?

Miyamoto sat down for a while, to think about it.

"As much as knowing that future puts a burden on a man's shoulders, and how hard not being able to tell my friends about it will be... Yes, Steve, I would like to know. I am already as committed to this cause as I'll ever be, might as well find out what we are truly fighting for.

Congratulations, by the way. You made a different man out of me, compared to when I first rolled out of stasis. I don't think I like what I've become, but I guess the time for doubt is behind us now."

Stare into the abyss, look at what Steve has to show me. Learn the future, to understand the present.

"Sure, just a second. Can't exactly go get her myself, now can I? Unless you want me to reareange the hallways quite a bit."

Send message to the AM. Tell her that "it's time to have a talk." If she doesn't want to come to the hanger, or wants to discuss it in a more private environment, ask her to have someone get Miya one of those special wheelchairs.

So... Lock the suit in place and then use a rope to pull the trigger for the cannon from inside the sealed cockpit?

The cockpit being closed might make it hard to pull that rope. You could, You know, just unlock that one finger.
((Woops. I did not know I could do that. I thought it was like a parking brake, either it's on or it's off.))

Do that then. Seems easier.
Violet right? Alright, this one I need to ask: How long do you hold the trigger down?

Could you give me only the soldier types list? Like shadow walkers, arbiters, etc..., the ones that are one person, or a copy of one.

Hey, archivists, I talked about this guy once but I can't find him in my searching. It was part of a documentary someone watched on TV a long while back. I forget his name. Anyone wanna help me out here?

The armory master comes to the hanger, with the synthflesh avatar of steve in tow.

>Alright, lets go somewhere a bit more private.

The armory master raises one hand and snaps. A ball of black expands over all three people and then collapses back down a moment later, and all three are gone.

You pet the strange pseudo-woman who is squawking at you and continue flipping through the channels. The first thing you find is a documentary about someone named Stephan Maldonado, a soldier who fought during the Altered wars and used his lesho rifle to bring death to thousands.

This guy?

The program is a rather long one that goes over the man's entire lifetime and his service. He grew up on a farm planet and lead a relatively normal and exceedingly boring life before being drafted into the newly formed UWM army at the age of 15. Following the standard UWM enlistment procedures of extensive gene therapy, cybernetic grafts, and speed implanted knowledge of everything from 57 ways to silently kill a man to how to start a fire using nothing but two sticks and a rocket launcher, he is thrown onto Hellion 8, one of 11 moons orbiting a gas giant in the Hexbarax system. He distinguished himself by not only killing a sizable amount of increasingly inhuman altered beings but also surviving, the first being an expectation laid upon all soldiers and the second being a mark of distinction and skill.

From Hellion 8, which was glassed and subsequently pushed into the Gas giant, he made his way up the ranks and around the system until finally landing on Hexbarax, the capital of the eponymous system. At this point he began training sniper units to work with the LESHO rifle, a weapon of his own construction. His units quickly replaced many short range artillery systems because of their peerless accuracy and horrifying destructive power. After the end of the Altered wars he retired to Earth 3, a powerful fortress world, and became the father of the Shadow Walkers, the elite assassination corps of the UWM.

Really wish I had something to test them against... Oh, I know!

If possible, get something useless like a foodtray or sample container, tie it with a rope on Gilgamesh and then have it float some distance in front of the weapon.
That way, I can see what kind of damage it causes.

If possible, I would like to know what hud symbol Violet Mode has.
Now, I know it's some kind of overcharge shot since I tested it against some sods during the Hephaestus defense, but I wasn't given any details about how exactly it works or how it looks like.

So, fire two shots:
For the first, hold the trigger down as little as possible, to see what its minimum is.

I'm doing this to see if I can use this for utility (welding stuff for example) or for something less than lethal.
Or as a semi-automatic rifle against unarmoured targets if it's very strong by repeatedly pushing the trigger.

For the second shot, hold it for about a second. Make sure to reset my test target before firing.

Hey Steve, is this Stephan Maldonado still alive?? Wouldn't he become future problem for us? Can I access that info about the 57 ways to silently kill a man? And waiting for response about the infantry list.

Renen asks Steve. After seeing the info about Stephan, Renen searches for the common gear for Shadow Walkers, Arbiters of Peace and Amp Specialists. Also, try to research about the origins of synthflesh.
