((Uhhh. Technically, we already have. We used to be the dogs of the UWM, but Steve said fuck that, you guys suck, and created a rebellion. So, yeah. Now we're Steve's dogs.))

((Okay, so the ship you are on was a prison ship. The prisoners were used as fodder for missions that were too dangerous for anyone of worth to undertake, so they used the murderers, thieves, jaywalkers, and other such scum instead. The general thought was that if they survived then they got the job done. If not, well, no one gave two shits about them anyway. After many years, the UWM got horribly bloated and corrupt. Steve got it in his sizable head that this was a threat to humanity as a whole, and as such, needed to be removed. So after an inderminate time spent planning, he revolted, and that's where we are now.))

((Presumably, you jut got defrosted as a convict. Your current options are:
-Die
-Screw over the authority that got you here in the first place.))

((I think Miyamoto had it. On a battlesuit. Several months ago. And presently on an Avatar of War, maybe. Or Pancaek had it, or someone else. I think it's been traveling.
And nanotechnology isn't magic here, sorry. I think it can't do anything here that it can't theoretically do right now in real life. So no nanomachines or nanoforges. There was sharkmist, though, which was pretty fierce.))

((As long as the future humans have mastered the art of tiny power sources, the nanoforge is possible. Its basically trillions of self-replicating nanobots, which can assemble to form weapons, armor, tools, vehicles and ammunition. Basically turn lumps of debris into Avatars of War, so long as you have them programmed to do so. Also allows for bottomless clips of a sort, as you make make ammo in a clip as you fire.

Grey goo is just nanobots that eat shit. Fire at biologicals and they get dissolved.))

((I don't think future humans have mastered such a thing, or any way to create an actual, programmable nanobot (which, I believe, is quite impossible, at least in the way you describe). Gray goo (sharkmist) is the most advanced nanotech we've seen, and that's an alien artifact of some kind as far as I know. There are microbots, though, which can be seen by the naked eye.))
