Why does Steve seem to have a preference to this ship?  Are there equivalent Jims, Miyamotos, and Milnos on other ships?   Is there a reason besides player perspective?

EDIT: And for that matter, equivalent Docs and AMs?

Who runs the infirmaries and armories of the other two? Is Nyars human?

Is the Sword the biggest of them?
There are two others as big as it. But yes, it's the biggest class of ship we've got.
Is that "We" as in the HMRC/ARM, or "We" as in the galaxy at large?

Is Nyars human?
What did we learn from asking that about the AM?
Genetically, Mentally, Anatomically?

I imagine that Nyars is fairly standard human- just for whatever reason more trusted with piles of weird alien can openers.

Do the other ships have wacky misadventures and hijinx just like us?

There are other commanders of the ship forces on other ships, yeah. Though choosing the name and everything for the new rebellion is player perspective stuff.

As per Docs and AM's, some of the ships have strange people on them, but none as odd as those two.

Who runs the infirmaries and armories of the other two? Is Nyars human?
Normal doctors and Gunnery Sergeants.

Human enough. More human then Jim, for instance.

Is the Sword the biggest of them?

ARM. There are plenty bigger out there.

Of course. At some point we may have to go salvage one that went a bit too wacky.

Important question: does the Sword have boarding pods we can launch?

Annoying answer. Although...what makes something "technically" human? DNA? Thoughts? Organs?
That was my thought. Though, by those criteria:

No, Hard to say, No.
...Okay, that was quite possibly the most disturbing response you could have given.
(( Makes perfect sense to me, though I may think about these things too much :P ))
((Oh, I understood it, I just don't like the implications...))

((Why don't you like the implications? He's basically saying the most hopeful solution to the dilemma, that if every part of your body were replaced, then you would still be the same person.
Is it just because you don't like imagining a scenario where you would need a full body prosthesis?))

((Well, it really depends. If two people had identical cars and exchanged parts one by one until each car is made out of the original parts of the other, did the two people exchange cars?))

((By PWs solution the answer seems to be no :P

EDIT: Just got idea, we can rename the blackship to The Theseus.))

((Then what if we were talking about people? Exchanging parts until each one had the same brain and neurosignals as the other started with, essentially, exchanging minds but not souls (if such even exist). Will Person A still be Person A even though they have Person B's body and mind?))

((Then surely you come to a rather terrifying prospect do you not? Your mind and all contained within it, your memories, your identity, dreams and dreads are all but irrelevant. If Person A remains Person A despite possessing Person B's body and mind rather than their own, then would it not indicate that what makes Person A, Person A is neither contained within their body nor mind? That their thoughts, sense of self and more or less who they are does not matter?))
