Ok, thanks for the feed back, If you were wondering the point of the char is to use aux systems as a major dump, with unconventional as
a secondary with points in intuition and a bit in handiwork to customize weapons if I cant find anyone t omake pen & paper a reality in exchange for some form of service

So it was like a binary search, except the question is "Has the input been brutally murdered?", and it only ever returns True.

((Strength is probably the easiest stat to increase through various upgrades, though. Easier than endurance, definitely, although endurance rolls can be circumvented through the use of thick armor. But the best part about Unconventional Weapons is definitely the field manipulators.

If it was my sheet, I probably would remove some points from intelligence and add at least 3 to strength. After all, unless he makes very good bets he can't afford any field manipulator better than the Microwave as a new guy. I'd leave the rest as it is, though.

Also, I'd advise using other people's services on the ship for your handiwork needs. You have a -2 to rolls on handiwork with that sheet, so you'd have to have 9 points in handiwork to break even (having no positive or negative), at which point handiwork becomes kinda-sorta worth using if you can't prototype anything. Even then, handiwork is probably the second-most marginal skill next to speech (well, except for skill in weapons you won't use).))

Yeah that was what I was hoping to do as investing in handiwork would be expensive with my current sheet so I was hoping to specialise as a
semi balanced char that was slightly poised towards defense with the aux sys and use the un-con weapons as my offense as they are very cool.

"Hrmm. I suppose it would defeat the point if I were to take both. Long range it is then."

Select long range loadout.
You mind if I put you on hold with that? These new programs take a bit to load.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

((It might be funniest if any players that the game may get decide on any details left vague.))

You do realize it's going to end up as a My Little Pony dress up simulator, right? And that's if you're lucky.

I've got something for working with this game. It involves dice.

Now try speech again then fire .50 cal at altered.

"Soldiers of the UWM! We must hold firm against the Altered horde! Today we turn the tide! We will show them the power of the UWM! We are no strangers to war! At first we fought for freedom. We fought for resources. That all changed when the Altered happend. Now we will hold the line! With oue lives if need be! Soldiers, pilots of the human race! Stand firm! Stand strong! And bring back the hope of Humanity!"
[speech:1]

The entire contingent of soldiers promptly turns on their collective heels and runs in the opposite direction. And then an altered totally Morgan Freeman in Deep Blue Sea's you.

(( In Maurice's hands that game would turn into either Assassin's Creed D, Altered Wars Medic, or a newtonian-physics flight simulator. Or all three mashed into one game. ;)

@Piecewise I understand that, and I'm actually looking for those "extremely long-range kinetic bombardments and lasers" use examples.
List of definitions (based on the original defintions by IronyOwl):
Space battles: battles at least partially happening in space. (So that a bombardment of an UWM planet by Altered coated meteors-plague rains counts, while an underwater battle, even fought by spacecrafts (for whatever reason that might have happened), does not count, unless they at some point during that battle were in space (say, the battle was originally intended to be fought in space and continued as one of the sides lured the other into a planetary battle).)
))
Save the experiment simulation and suspend it for now.
You save the rather poor experiment, marveling at how inefficient these searches are, and proceed to get ready to prepare for something else.

Look for the doc. Start the new phase of the training.

I believe I'm ready for the next step.

You find the Doctor standing around in the infirmary and tell him you're ready for the next step in your relationship.

"Meet me in the back, you should know the way by now. " He says, waving you on.

Gotcha. Welcome aboard. Assuming you read some of the thread; if not, you spawn in the stasis chamber in the barracks. You are naked, cold, covered in goo and more then likely unhappy with your lot in life.

Or maybe not. Maybe being naked and covered in goo is your thing. I don't judge.

Ok, Ive read some of the thread and understand there are extensive V.R. systems aboard that allow for scientific experimentation and I would guess that there are methods of manufacture as well?

For my character I will figure out where to get some clothes and get rid of this goo. Then I will find some members of the HMRC that are willing
to help me create weapon and armour improvements. Before I do this though I will have a quick look at the armoury to see what there is to work with. For the first creation my idea is to create a Mk II suit that shunts the first so-many hits on the wearer into a kinetic shunt using other modified kinetic shunts.

Exit VR then inspect bolt action closely. After that find a teammate not in VR.

You grab some clothing from the helpful box next to the tubes and wipe off the goo with an extra pair of pants before getting dressed. Freshly clothed you wander out to the armory and take stock of the weapons on hand (I'll assume you know where to find the armory list in the OP)

Exit VR then inspect bolt action closely. After that find a teammate not in VR.

You take a look at the bolt action rifle. The stock and body looks to be made of wood but on closer inspection it's some sort of synthetic material, a plastic painted with wood grain or some such thing. The barrel and actual moving parts are a darkish metal, like iron, but are more then likely made of something more robust just treated to look authentic. In appearance it's similar to the mannlicher carcano, but with the underslung box magazine of the M1 Carbine.

Return to the barracks. Send a wristpad message to everyone:
Quote from: Gorat 'Chin' Ivanos; to everyone
As some of you might know, I'm trying to pass the time between missions to write a game, a shoot and run platformer. I've converted it to run on the bigger data pads rather than the wristpad version I sent out previously. If you want to try it out and have a data pad (you may be able to get one from the armory master), send me a datapad message (message code 32947204856012384575342970589731) along with the 32-digit message code of your data pad (It should be listed with the system data), and I'll send back a compiled version of the game.
