Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Raelin turned back and pressed the button, after resigning herself to her fate, seeing the face of their leader once more and putting her best mask on.

"Once again, we respectfully request your surrender, Captain. Your ship is damaged, your men need better rations, and you've insulted our honor. If you value your life, then we should come to an agreement soon enough.

Like before that volley reaches your ship."

If the TC Achilles' Captain refuses,

"I see then, well, um," Raelin expressed herself with a perplexed look on her face, "Argh, we're done lying. You have us, Captain. We surrender our ship to your will. We wish to spare lives and enter into submission peacefully. Dock any and all of your fighters, and begin boarding of our ship.

However, we request that you join in along with your crew. Some of the men here are...uneasy if their subjugator isn't one that they've seen. In as much as I'd like to speak for them, at least leave us our dignity, Sir."

If they surrender, move at the aforementioned speed onto their ship. If they don't, and probably won't, stop our ship in place.

The captain turned his expressionless facemask towards Raelin.
"If they do not accept any of our propositions, reverse with full force."

If they surrender, move at the aforementioned speed onto their ship. If they don't, and probably won't, reverse in full force!.

A cloud of thought echoed through Raelin's mind on what she would do with the answer if they refused. Of course, stopping would give them an advantage.

Could she cover up if they reverse-...

"If they do not accept any of our propositions, reverse with full force."

It was settled.

HEY! I'm the space marine rip off here. Look at that sword (Rant)

Arrod expressionlessly feathered the throttle, and he pointed the Haymaker towards their bombers.

Sector C 27: Aboard the Godsplitter

Rezavres Ethedel
Location:Missile batteries

You order your crew to try to restabilish communications with the enemy ship, demanding their surrended. They do not respond. You give your surrender, again, they don't respond. So you prepare your missiles bays and give the order to fire. All missiles fire immediatly and reach the enemy ship quite fast

Arrod Werin
Location: Haymaker Modular bomber

As per orders, you aim at the advancing enemy ships. You can't really get a good lock though.

Sai'oda Fresa
Location: Front section(+1 attack bonus to defender/ +1 armor bonus to defender)

You idle, waiting for something interesting to happen

Raelin Tal'dir
Location: Bridge

You order the enemy ship to surrender. They don't answer. You surrender. They don't answer. So you start the engines, and prepare to move the ship backwards. Suddenly an alarm goes of and the engines are shutdown.. Seems like you forgot to deactivate the inertial dampeners. Restarting the engines doesn't take much time however, so you can start next turn. The crew also reports that there's no damage to the engines.

Jack Dendy
Location: Section 1/Deck 2(+1 attack bonus to defender/ +1 armor bonus to defender)

You wait.

TC Achilles
(Radar array damaged, No communications) (1 turns)
Cooling offline

The Achilles fires it's lasers again. Both laser shots hit your shields but they do only minimal damage. The five barracudas aim in on one of the fighters, and hit it. Completly obliterating it in an instant. The exploding misseles heavily damage another bombern while the third only looses it's shields. The 2 boarding squads escape unscatched.  The 2 baracuddas and 1 cracker make their way through the enemies shield, losing a single missile to it's point defenses before hitting the now destroyed armor. The baracudda does some damage(7) but fails to pierce even the remains of the armor. The cracker however almost tears the ship in 2 (48 damage) before tearing through the cooling system, deactivating it and then plowing into the jumpdrive, doing serious damage to it.

The jumpdrive destabilizes and releases it's energy. Suddenly the ship dissappears in bright flash of light. Several alarms on your bridge go off. "Warning, incoming jumpsignals. Warning: Jump collision alert. All around you parts of the Achilles are jumping back into the sector. Suddenly a large piece of hull fills the screen. But Raelin is fast enough to grip the controls and push the ship out of the way. At that moment you're being hailed by the remaining Achilles fighter, the other being hit by a part of the Achilles's engine. He whishes to surrender.

"What happened to the Engineering crew?!"

Raelin checked the Engines, baffled by what just occurred. She then noticed the hailing signal from the remaining fighter and turned to her Commander. "This was not in your best interests, was it?"

Rezavres grinned with glee. Oh, my, now that captain would certainly reflect upon his actions in Hell. Maybe they could even reunite someday. He turned back to his controls.
"Helmswoman, accept the bomber's surrender and tell them to turn off their engine. We'll be fetching them later. Keep our VASIMIR off, it produces too much heat and we have already surpassed one third of our limit."

"As for the boarding ships, issue them a order to surrender now, for the Corvette was destroyed and they'll have to fly amidst a sea of their own vessel's debris to reach us."

((Editing more later.))

Rezavres pressed the "missile reload" symbol of one of the launchers and turned once more to the comms.
"Turn off the point defense system and retract the liquid cooling system if they move to attack our front section. If they don't do it, turn off the point defense system anyway. Also turn off two of the Godsplitter's three missile launchers, I'm keeping one of them online, just in case."

He proceeded to change channels and roar further orders into the comms.
"Defense team, brace yourselves for enemy boarding. I will be joining you soon; engineer, join the defense line, the VASIMIR is perfect."
"Haymaker pilot, lock and unleash all missiles upon one of the boarding ships if they do not surrender."

That said and having reloaded the missiles, and only if the ships still refuse to surrender, Rezavres locks all the four 'Cudas on one of the boarding ships and releases them, running for the defense line afterwards if there are still enemy ships.

((A missile frigate is very, very costy. I feel bankruptcy approaching.))

Raelin nodded at the command, sending a message to the Marine Commander to get ready. Though, if intuition served right, Sai'oda would already be up and gunning with a squad at her back.

She flipped a switch to send a hailing signal to the bomber. "We accept your unconditional surrender and respectfully request that you turn off your engines for retrieval, later on," then flipped it again, shifting the signal to any of the boarding ships that launched from the now-derelict wreck of the TC Achilles. "Attention any Confederate forces from the TC Achilles. Your mainship is destroyed, and your mission is futile. Debris blocks your path to us, and your Captain is dead. However, we are not without mercy and respectfully request you to surrender unconditionally, and await pickup from our crew."

Relay Command to other crew and the surrendering enemy. keep and set the VASIMIR to "Off".

((I wonder if when we plan our jump, we could aim for a pirate station/blackmarket port? Then spend our away time doing...many things.))

Sector C 27: Aboard the Godsplitter

Rezavres Ethedel
Location:Missile batteries

As you order the computer to reload the missiles your attention is drawn to a small icon that indicates the batteries are 50% empty.  You continue your orders by demanding that the cooling systems be retracted and for 2 missile launchers and the Point defense systems to be deactivated. You also ponder the financial implications of a missile frigate. Hopefully you'll be able to snag up some cheap missiles on the black market (Fell from a truck, honest) or maybe some exotic payloads. You also theorize that you could overcharge the cooling systems to dump a lot of heat at once, at the expense of some efficiency.

Arrod Werin
Location: Haymaker Modular bomber

You aim at one of the 2 incoming boarding craft. Waiting for them to surrender or the order to open fire.

Sai'oda Fresa
Location: Front section(+1 attack bonus to defender/ +1 armor bonus to defender)

You prepare for arresting any boarders or prisoners. boarding

Raelin Tal'dir
Location: Bridge

You order the enemy ships to surrender. They say they will compley but also tell you that they will need to keep their engines active to evade the debris and to cling on to your ships magnetic field. If they would do that they would speed away into space, and they would be dead before you could catch them.

Jack Dendy
Location: Aft section

You run towards the engine section, which is perfectly fine except for the crewmembers here whom are sleeping rather then inspecting they engine.

TC Achilles Boarding squadron
The boarding squadron tries to use their engines as minimally as possible, trying to avoid the debris around them. Your scans show that their weapons are offline. They cling on to your shield and in a delicate  and expertly done manoever all of them are now in orbit around your shield.

Raelin moved a hand over the docking port bay door switch but hesitated. "Commander, Sai, are you both ready to welcome our new friends?"
