Eh. That's about par for the course for half of the TS calls I take :P
Sounds about right. Carry on, man.

I hate those wireless switches, whether they be a physical switch on the side that will always get toggled somehow/somewhere or a strange keystroke that managed to get pressed somehow.

I'd like to meet the genius who had the idea...

Like the "press any key to boot from CD" message after selecting the optical drive when using a boot menu....

The touchpad on/off buttons on laptops are fun too.

It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

I use a mouse with my laptop, sometimes it annoys me when I'm doing something and the cursor flies off in some random direction, then I realize the palm of my hand was laying on the pad. XD

I know right? I just got a Razer Death Adder. This mo goes up to 3500 dpi. You have a muscle twitch in your hand while playing a FPS and you spin around in a freaking circle. Mouse turn becomes mouse "seizure."

I have it down to 2000ish for desktop use, and like 800 for FPS gaming.

I don't know if it's good, but my graphics card (A NVida GTX 560 Ti DirectCUII, made by Asus) consistently heats up to about 110 degrees during moderately intensive use (High graphics for a game from 2-3 years ago, or low from modern, high-intensive game), during normal use it hovers at 96.

Not being the best with computers, I don't know whether a seemingly-high normal operating temperature like that is something to be curious about or not.

Also, this:

We could always rig you up a liquid cooled rig, Truean. That'd be pretty awesome. Or an oil submersed rig in an aquarium.

Has me quite interested. It'd be cool to try it out, I think.

wtf 110 degrees!?!? Your card should be melting right now O_o
Sounds like the sensor got toasted. Also if the card is heating up from moderate usage, are you running a dual screen setup?

No, one monitor.

The card came with a program that shows fan speed, GPU temperature, etc., which is, at this moment with only my browser open and actively running, 96 degrees and 1110(guessing that's RPM, it doesn't really say) fan speed.

The overall diagnostic that the program shows says that my card is working perfectly fine.

Fahrenheit.

If it were Celsius, I wouldn't be using it, now would I? It would be slag in the bottom of my computer case.

Yea basically.

yea the temperatures are normal then, Nvidia isn't great on the power saving stuff like AMD is though the new 600s are something to talk about.

Just wondering.

The setup is a bit cramped in the case, I must say, and I have almost no idea what acceptable temperature ranges on these things are.

The former is one reason I thought that that oil-cooled setup looked interesting, because once all of the power supply wires are packed in, there's not all that much room in there.

The GTX 560's thermal limit (when it automatically shuts off to prevent damage) is apparently 106°C.

110 F is only 43°C. That's barely even warm.
