Dylan looked the White Knight over one more time before saying to Tyler, "Whats the chance of me swapping out the White Knight's weaponry soon, I prefer to fight with twin swords, it gives more mobility, and damage power with less bulky weapons. Also I've been thinking, but you think you could modify the core on it to boost the speed of the machine? At the moment its to slow for my liking, I'd prefer the chance of getting hit to be next to nothing."

Dylan:

"Twin swords, eh?" Tyler scratched his bald head. "Sorry man, them clearances are pretty important. YOu know I wouldn't mind tweaking it at this very moment, but them bridge officers and people at the Command wouldn't be happy to see me do it without proper paper."

Tsuchi:

Tsuchi quickly found the VR rooms. There were VR helmets, gloves, jackets and bracers, pretty much the standard of the new century. The computer panels showed a list of BR programs, all of them militaristic of some kind. And, from other place, there were several voices coming to Tsuchi's ears at the moment.

"I'll try to get the permission, but in the mean-time why don't we work over some details for modifying the thing? I'd prefer this machine to have far more capabilities speed-wise then it currently does, when my Dad started working on this machine he said that his ultimate goal for this thing was to be a piece of pure beauty, triumphing on the battlefield through sheer speed, and grace." Dylan said as he remembered those long days of chatting with his Father, and watching the first Unicorn being built piece by piece, test by test.

Before Tsuchi began on an interesting looking machine, he asked any labcoat he saw who ran the R&D sector.
The machine he picked was " Advanced Maneuvers in Complicated Terrain."

He did average, with a score of 86. The average is 85. The highest is 96.

He stood up from the machine, saying a bit forcibly, "I need a smoke, something to punch, or maybe some time in my mech. Nothing beats actual training... I can't feel my mech through this helmet."

Tsuchi:

Unfortunately, the VR room was devoid of labcoats. It was actually devoid of any personnel.

Dylan:

"Yeah, sure. Writing down propabilities and all that stuff ain't gonna take long." Tyler nodded and then looked at White Knight briefly again. "I promise you man, I will work on the details when I have time."

"Thanks, I'm going to go head to the bridge, and see if I can get my appeal for modifications in motion. See ya later, be careful as well." Dylan said to Tyler as he turned, and walked away , he was heading for the bridge to ask for permission for modifications to the White Knight from the Captain herself.

Tsuchi watched Dylan, whom he had met a while ago, go storming off to the bridge.
"Looks like he has the same intentions I do..."
Tsuchi decided against following along.. He wanted to test the system's capabilities before he did anything, lest he set his cockpit on fire. That was not a good day.

"I'll just head to the hangar area, and ask about the upcoming mission.
Better ask if there's anything I should see on the ship, too.
In fact, while I'm there, I may as well show my system configuration notes to the mechanic. He might be able to make something incredibly mobile with them.
If he can't do anything, it will be a long time before these see any functionality whatsoever.

Kira goes over to the Virtual Reality room and trains in those Emergency Scenarios, to be sure that she would at least be prepared for anything later on.

Dylan:

Just like Tsuchi a moment before, Dylan was greeted by a closed door leading onto bridge.

It suddenly opened and Captai nwas storming out of the bridge, stopping right in her tracks when she saw the new pilot trying to get onto the bridge.

"And where are you going, recruit?" Lydia asked with angry, cold tone.

Tsuchi

"Oi, you back, eh? What is it this time?" The chief mechanic looked with interest at notepad that Tsuchi gave him, briefly inspecting it.

Kira:

The computer loaded a menu of emergency situations. It contained several of them: reactor leak in suit, few 'outnumbered by enemy' scenarios, as well as long patrol duty without resupplying, and a duel with vastly suprior suit, at least by terms of statistics.

"Please equipt the VR equipment before activating the VR." The soft computer voice spoke to Kira two seconds later.

Kira puts on the VR equipment, selecting the part in 'being outnumbered' situation.

"Twenty minutes would be a good time to see how far I survive."

Kira:

The moment in which all pieces were equipped by Kira, the scenario started. She was now in her suit's cabin, and said suit was in space. Ten small jet-like looking drones surrounded Kira and began shooting their laser cannons, the energy bolts partially bypassing the shields, the whole suit shaking under sudden bombardment.

Kira checked the console before anything, it was the Stargazer once more. About full Reactor Capability, she guessed.

Well, it was time to make an advantage out of this disadvantage, or so she hoped.

Boost towards one of the drones, swing that Polarized Titanium Blade at it!

Kira:

The blade connected with the shield layer, cutting it and sending soundless sparks off the drone.

In the same moment, several laser bolts hit the suit from behind, making Kira's console crackle and sparks fly from the monitors.

"WARNING. Shield capacity under 50%. Severe damage to outer hull." The on-board computer really tried to be helpful.

Kira felt uncomfortable in her situation. While she had experience with the VR situations, this particular situation always set her hairs on end, figuratively. It reminded her of that event.

Boost upwards and turn about, firing my rifle at the nearest drones.

'At least there's a voice to comfort me...'

The sudden boost-out made few of the drones, the ones that were behind her back, miss with the shots, the radar monitor showing several red squares passing by the blue dot in the center - her Stargazer.

The rifle shot hit one of the drones, and the shield burst in white and blue sparks, the metal not bypassing it, but severely damaging the shield's integrity - Kira's suit got shot by a pair of closest drones' laser cannons in return.
