A dispellable spellbook is indeed a bad idea. 20 dispellable spellbooks, however, is a very good idea.

While invisible, Ramiel walks up just behind the peak of the hill, and waits and watches.
Double move action to 40 feet away from the hill, straight to the hill. Use Move Silently.

Greater dispel magic can be cast a 20-ft. burst.  ;)

So can normal dispel magic and mordenkainen's disjunction...
 A bag of holding keeps it somewhat safe, and ideally you would have a spare in a vault somewhere...
