Small nitpick but I don't think Mount and Blade truly counts as an Indie game since they were published by Paradox (although they're the closest to an "indie publisher" as you can get).
in all fairness the original M&B was developed my only 2 people (I think it was a married couple from Turkey) so M&B has definetely started as an Indie Game

The problem with Spacechem is getting people interested in it. I know the first time someone tried to convince me to play it, I didn't understand a word of what he was describing as the gameplay. When I actually played it, I was totally in love. Now I don't know how to describe it to others either :/
