King snake > Ocelot / KodKod

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Can't say no to that cuteness

Ocelot looks like the epitome of all that is pure and beautiful in this life.

King Snake looks generally discontent with life.

Ocelot wins.

Perhaps bonobons since they are basically an advanced above ground race of dwarves. ::)

Speaking of above ground look-alikes:Aye-ayes match the kobold description almost perfectly.

The weredwarf Urist McUrist has come! A bearded drunkard twisted into minute form. It is crazed for booze and socks. Its unwashed beard is tangled. It needs alcohol to get through the working day and has gone without a drink for far too long. Now you will know why you fear the mines.

Et tu, Urist

Ocelot wins.

King Snakes define regality! And they always have an atmosphere of inquisitiveness about them, coupled with that sense of readiness, that they can take action in fractions of a second - and still stay calm even when under threat of death! It defines them, makes them stronger and creates what is known to be the King Snake.
The Ocelot is what it is, another cat. The King Snake need not win, for there was no contest - it has been a universal variant that favoured it's reptilian scales since it's creation.

I bet a honey badger could kill, even if it got bitten.
I'd imagine so, King Snakes aren't poisonous. They don't need it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the scaly bastards. But snakes in general more often then not have a look of "I am not enjoying my own existence one bit." That inquisitiveness is in all likelihood some kind of morbid curiosity with how many
things they can find in their environment to end their lives. They remain calm because they are apathetic to whether or not they remain among the living.

Ocelot is not merely another cat, it is THE cat. There is no contest for the Ocelot either, as it automatically wins all contests by simple fact of being an Ocelot.

Snakes in general. This is the snake of snakes. That self loathing look is only found on the faces of the King Snake's prey. Nothin' but elegance and resilience in one bundle. Apathy? They're not looking for ways to end their lives, they're looking for a new place to relax in the sun and reflect the meaning of snake. Because, snake snake. SNAKE.

Oh, come on now. Don't tell me you cannot see blatant displeasure from being alive inside those shimmering little eyes of theirs. It's like they're born stricken by melancholy.

They have no need for depression. Just pure snake.

Seems to be a lot of pictures of leather armor in waiting here. My view of felines in general matches their treatment at the hands of my dwarves, but sadly kittens don't seem to produce meat.

Best animal would definately have to be the giant jumping spider. Because trained guard spiders are too awesome not to have.
