Hearts of Iron 2

I have been wanting to play HoI again, but I haven't adapted to HoI 3's style. Going back to 2, which is the best to play: Darkest Hour, Arsenal of Democracy or base Armageddon? What are the difference between them?

Go with Darkest Hour, it's the most recent one and just generally better. It's like a proper sequel to HoI2, as it only improves upon the original instead of completely changing the style.
