Enjoyed my time so far...
Got a Bandit Kill, then the server I was on Crashed...

I was checking through a small town when I spotted something white moving around, I called out "friendly" and it pointed its gun at me, went prone and then popped back up to take a shot at me. I returned fire as he backed into a house. Next second later 4-5 Zeds ran straight past me and into the doorway of the house. "Bandits Killed" counter went up by one...

I RAN FOR THE FUCKING HILLS...

Apparently you can't respawn properly anymore. If you'll die you'll simply respawn where you spawend when entering the server. That wouldnt be that bad, except that I entered the server withou any ammunition ....

This game is pretty addicting I have to think, although I only played for ~3 hours yesterday and it was a big patch day with lots of disconnects.

A friend and me met 2 other survivors and we teamed up with them. 20 Minutes later we shot one of them dead while he was bandaging up, just to get that feeling you know? The other one just started running away and we let him run :D We then plundered his stuff (beans and water, nothing else). I felt reaaaalllly (unbelievable) bad afterwards.

Anyway, despite all the bugs the game is awesome :D sandbox style survival with zombies and murder, what more could you ask for?

I managed to kill bandit yesterday despite having only 3200 blood so I couldnt see anything. Too bad the server crashed and I didnt get loot and now I'm in dangerous place when logging in...

I actually killed a player for food today (he didn't even have any), just saw him at the end of a barn and I guess I fired first...

Got the wrong mental image there for a moment.

When I logged in there was a lot of new stuff in the place, I looted it and tried to flee to coast but zombies ate all my rifle ammo. I was almost passing out all the time and couldnt see anything. Then I see shape moving and I fire whole makarov clip just to notice its player. I got just 1 more clip and hes probably angry so I just run for it. He stays there and keeps bleeding while I run straight into zombie ambush and die. I managed to find my corpse but there wasnt that as much useful stuff.

There were flare traps by the beach earlier. Bandits throwing flares within sight of the shore, and hiding while new players wander up asking about friendliness.

I managed to get quite a ways inland in what I think is the southwest. I feel terrible, but I had to increase my gamma really far just to be able to do anything. I'm still running off my markov, but I'm hoping that I might find a quiet server and find something more powerful.

I'm still hunting for a tent so I can collect supplies and get a boat working.

Don't feel bad about increasing your gamma. I know other people are using that against me, I'm not going to handicap myself against them and not do it as well.

Note: Zelenogorsk is known to spawn vehicles, but they do not respawn.

I have encountered a single boat west of Cherno.

Anyone know if vehicles actually appear anywhere, or just in pre-set places?

They have a chance of spawning in set places I believe. Although on some servers vehicles don't even spawn.

The gamma trick isn't working for me anymore. Increases the brightness of the sky, but still can't see anything on the ground. I suppose it makes tree silhouettes slightly easier to see, but that doesn't help all that much. I just tend to use flares and dodge zombies by sound. Chem lights seem to be a bit better now too.

Bleh. Trying to find a server that I can play with decent ping - any suggestions? I'm in Ireland.
