I think he/she mean, how do you survive?
Look at sluissa post, it has good infomatrion that will make sure you stay alive longer

My suggestion? Leave the cost immediately. Don't go TOO far north. There's even worse things up there sometimes, but play around in the smaller towns in the middle of the map. Stay out of cherno and electro unless you absolutely have to. At night, if you pop a flare for some reason, don't plan to stick around that area too long. I tend to do my best to navigate between villages in the pitch black, pop a flare into the middle of the village, rush in(as best I can) do my looting quick, and get out fast and away from the light. The new starting weapon is apparently underpowered compared to the revolver. You just need to plan to do a lot of sneaking. Tall grass and trees are your friends. Roads, while quick and good navigation markers, can get you killed pretty quickly as well.

This looks sexy as hell. Downloading the prereqs as I type this, may be a while though.

I'm having the same error as Qloos was having, with the whole "No Entry for bin\config.bin/cfgGlasses.ace_none" error? And that's only the first time I try and join a server, any server. Any server I try to join after that without restarting the game, I get 9/10ths through the Receiving Data bar and then it kicks me to lobby!

Well, had my first game of it today. Died 3 times; first and third to zombies, second because I hadn't bothered to read through and figure out the chat controls. Third time involved a humorous chase scene in which 3 zombies chased me, inducing heavy bleeding, I managed to kill one with my last bullet, then just kept booking it, with the remaining 2 about 5 feet behind me. I did manage to stop for just a moment and bandage myself (getting whacked at by the zombies throughout), so I stopped the bleeding at about 2.5k blood left and just kept sprinting. Then I ran into a bush something like half a kilometer later, since I couldn't see much from the blood loss, and they caught up and devoured what little was left of me.

I kinda started at a nasty time too, as it was a very dark, moonless night in which I literally could not see the hand in front of my face holding my gun. Can't say I'm too fond of the whole 1:1 time thing though, as most of my free time is late at night.

Same here, but I started on the Euro servers and didn't have too much issue.

Just out of interest, do we know how many weapons are in the mod? All I've heard of and seen has been the starting Makarov, the Csomethingsomething hunting rifle, the AKsomething and the crossbow.

Okay, I managed to successfully reinstall ARMA2:OA and @DayZ, but now I can't connect to any servers (DayZ or not) despite a clean update.

Anyone else have this happen?
