It doesn't actually matter where the folder ends up. You can still play combined ops. My folders are seprate.

And that's because I started Arma II up before I played OA.

okay... I seem to have it installed, but when I connect to a server, I"ll click continue right before the briefing screen and then it'll dump me back to the server list with "waiting for character to be created" in the background. The server I tried to connect to no longer shows me as connected either, so I don't think it's just a matter of waiting.

It's a known bug. The servers that these guys are running are just as alpha as the game itself, so they can be a bit unrelyable. If it fails try again, if it fails still try another server. If that keeps failing I'd give it 30 minutes or so and importantly check The mediafire page to see if there's been an update to the Dayz_code.rar while you waited.

yeah, there was another update today to 1.4.11  and I only found US4 the last time I checked, so there might be additional things going on.

Servers tend to crash. So if a server vanishes it SHOULD be back in anywhere from 3-10 minutes.

The new york servers are ESPECIALLY crashy as of late.

This does seem rather cool, and I love zombie survival kind of games. But I spent all my spending money already, sadly, and Arma 2 with the two extra DLCs I would need, is a bit out of my pay range at the moment.

I did however share this with a friend who is huge into this kind of thing and has all the Arma 2 DLCs...he said it looked awesome, but hasn't gotten a chance to try it yet. But he wanted me to send his thanks, for finding the zombie mod.

You don't actually need the DLCs. The missing resources arent really "Missing", just stuck with low quality textures in comparison. I don't have either and Day-Z is perfectly playable.

Anyone else getting "There is insufficient bandwidth to allow the entire bulk download transaction" when you try to download the mod?

And it seems the servers are having even more problems! Bet there's another patch coming by tonight.

And I kept seeing that Jocan was on the server I was on too. I wanted to show him my new crossbow...

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Not in particular. But if the chance is there and beneficial then why not? Humans are a lot more fun to hunt than zombies.
