I've gone so long without an avatar... yet... for this... I'd gladly participate, were I given the opportunity.

Suffice to say, Furtuka, that there is an entire forum that is no longer open for business. (I don't think most people can even see the link at the bottom anymore.)

So this is a recurrent thing? My, my... I couldn't imagine it would come to this when I registered.

As long as we don't secede and declare war upon the rest of the forums, we should be fine.

That's not how infection works.
Is it what happened last time?

I find this all very amusing.

Let's have a General Discussion revolution against the rest of the forum! You'll have the aid of the ponies, even.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I think VN was nuked for various reasons, one of them being the general low quality of the posts contained therein.

That having been before my time, I'm fuzzy on the details.

I still can't wrap my head around the revival of the Penguins.

I'm not upset about it, it's just such a random thing to happen...

What is VN?
Various Nonsense, the predecesor of the lower forums. (I think, as I said I wasn't around back then.)

This isn't actually the first penguin revival since VN, but its definitely the largest. I think a couple of the other subforums had their own small ones as well, like a mafia penguin resurgence a while back.

Are there any penguin wanters left to do, btw?
Here.
So this is the source of the penguin avatars.

Consider me interested. If anyone can made a good penguin out of the Outlaw Star (pictured left <--), I will wear it with pride.
