I tend to think of people as the gender and personality of their avatar, merged with what they actually tend to say here. Hemmingjay for instance is a Freemason phycadellic Bluebird on a mission to overturn EA and Activision.

Blargityblarg possesses a Geordie accent

I had to spend a surprisingly long time Googling to find out what that sounds like, and whoa, what?

Aqizzar has the voice of John Wayne.

I don't think I really imagine voices/faces for most of you, though. Beyond your avatars. But that's more a mental association a la Memory than me actually imagining people 'as' their avatars.

Well I assure you that is not the case, fleshbag.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I don't actually read anything with a voice. It just comes out as understanding.

I'm sure most people reads things in a voice. The problem is that you just do it so fast and instinctively that you don't notice it. Try slowing it down and reading over something again and see if you hear it.

Also:
I think everyone looks like they avatars, and i read posts in some voice i think i recognize, but its not mine.

You're a face-painted, candle-holding dude with the voice of an innocent little boy.

Aqizzar is Brock Sampson in my mind. Has been in my head for years. It's largely the avatar. Also his no nonsense nature. Don't ask me why he's one of the only people I do voices in my head for. I read so fast I usually don't have time to do it with other things, truthfully.

The irony being that I didn't used to be Serious Business 24/7.  We haven't had impromptu shenanigans around here in a long time.

I don't really have "voices" assigned to identities so much as tones.  Higher and lower with a bit of pitch, vaguely relating to how "friendly" vs "gruff" I remember them as.  The only time I even notice is when I start subvocalizing something, and half-way through realize it's not the person I thought it was.  I will admit to a certain gender-bias in voice tones, but the same low=serious high=not thing applies, just the inflection changes.

It's odd that I don't apply accents, since I do apply accents when I'm reading a book or something and I have an idea of what a character is supposed to sound like.  I even know what accents a few people here have.  Maybe there's just too many of you.

I remember Dakk visualized me as a black guy.

I usually don't visualize people unless I know what they look like, and everyone kind of has the same voice, occasionally different

My mental image of Truean:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
As some other people have said, I usually see people as there avatar, or in the case of Deon and RedKing, as their former avatar. Anyone with a pony / female (manga) avatar is of course a woman.
