you know, assuming we're always going to be one creature, I think it might be more prudent to try and digest a beetle for it's tough exterior and stronger mandibles.
Or something poisonous. If we becomes a poisonous creature, we could kill a much larger creature before digesting, cutting alot of corners.

I wounder if it would be possible to mix the exoskeletal genes of the ant and the flying ability of the butterfly? in other words maybe it is possible if we mix the genes a bit we could fly whille being armored.

Considering that we have a DNA library for parts we assimilated from entities, I guess we can do this.
