You were created in a lab, one of the worlds first bioweapons. An artifical lifeform, designed specifically to destroy all others. And now you've been freed wherether by accident or not, you don't know. You find yourself amidst on rough ground, which you can only asume to be dirt. You are surrounded by a forest of flat organic pillars, about 20 times larger than you. There are also several things moving around, apparently feeding on the plants.

You try to learn an ability. [6] Suprisingly it actually works. You suddenly remember how you are supposed to conquer the world. By examining and assimilating the strongest parts of your foes. You can modify and adapt your DNA, allowing you to change your form on the fly.

You move towards the closest lifeforms and attemp to assimilate it. Since you lack weapons of any kind, you simply engulf it and after a bit of struggling the insect stops moving.
[2] Most of the DNA is badly damaged, and you only get a small amount of biomass.

You try to assimilate a flying insect.[6] You climb up one of the grass stalks, wait for a insect to pass underneath and jump. [6] You land on a butterfly.(which is several time larger then you). You [6] quickly engulf it, assimilating it's entire DNA, and then [2] plumet down on the ground. Luckly you haven't got any important appendages,so you make it off unscatched. You then start to munch on a bit of grass. [1] Apparently cellulose is rather hard to digest.
