And remember, we're only copying the mind-link idea, not the rest of their traits.  We will be much more efficient and adaptable. 

Actually, we should make sure that we never lose our adaptability as keeping it is the best way to ensure that we can face any threat.

You decide to try and get some stronger wings from somewhere. You try to attack a dragonfly. You jump up bite your mandibles in it's wing and finish it off. The dragonfly wings require more energy, but have a larger carrying capacity and are more nimble.

You decide to eat some more grass. After a small while you've eaten quite a lot of grass, and are now about 10 cm long. Sadly almost all of your components aren't large enough to support you, so that might give trouble in the future.

You notice that the light level around you is dropping, as is the temperature. This might be dangerous, as your current form isn't accustomed to that.
