Class: Archer
Appearance: Tall and with a lean although muscular body built for agility. Bright blue eyes, white hair weaved into a very long braid, fair skin and young looks. Polished steel shoulderguards over a (white-trimmed) dark blue longcoat with a generous amount of white fur covering his neck, leather vest with straps running diagonally over a white shirt on his upper body and a chainmail underneath, while his lower body is graced with leather brown pants and steel-reinforced boots of the same color. Sleek armor plates adorn parts of his clothing. His weapons, shown when they are needed, are a greatbow and a flintlock musket, long twin swords and a set of backup daggers. His Greatbow is an imposing and large weapon as tall, if not taller, as he is. His twin swords, sheathed inside metal scabbards hanging by leather straps are built mostly for defense, relatively thick, strong and resilient. His flintlock musket has a rifled barrel for high accuracy and a bayonet for close-combat and it is also heavy and tall enough to serve as a lance in melee. All of them have names, as does his sleek and discreet attire-and-armor set.
Personality: Snarky and dick-ish. He is sharp-minded, cautious and wary of threats, and although in many occasions he may appear to have no moral restraints, he actually may have a few buried very deep inside his mind. Or maybe not.
Bio: Archer was a rogue warrior, a mercenary renowned for his agility and cunning, so skillful in his craft that stories about him were told for decades until they were slowly forgotten as his image faded from the minds of men. Each time a shadow with what seemed a greatbow on its back appeared, soldiers would whisper hurriedly and prepare for the worse.
The man had been born poor, and nothing more aside from that is known of his childhood. The image his enemies had etched on their minds was of a very young man with both a greatbow and a bayonet-equipped flintlock rifle slung on his back and with two sheathed swords hanging by straps by his thighs. He did not fight with honor, for victory was the only necessity according to his own code.
One of his most common tactics consisted of seeking the strongest enemy or general in the enemy army, sneaking and entering direct combat with him to cut off his head with impeccable technique and throw it at the opposing army to damage their morale. Even though he had prowess in direct combat, he favored raining down death from afar, using poisoned arrows and ambushes, shooting at blind spots and basically playing dirty whenever he could. Due to his savviness, he drank several types of poisons in diluted versions until his organism could deal with them, and trained resistance to pain so that he would not cringe and cry if an attack landed on him, doing it until deep gashes made him smile in a very disturbing manner.
His talents got to the point they turned into a nuisance for local lords, which arranged for all possible forces to track him down and kill him. He possibly died after finally killing the last of the lords who wanted his head. In his escape, he was purposefully trapped and managed to set off a huge explosion within the castle's gunpowder storage. No remains of him were found, and he was presumed dead.
He joined the Holy Grail War as a Servant for his own reasons...
Strategy: His strategy amounts to avoiding conflict when necessary, causing him to be able to easily retreat from combat to either escape and cause the enemy to become overconfident or prepare an attack based on the adversary's flaws. When locked in combat, he favors dodging and defending while watching for weaknesses and blind spots. If the enemy has none of his own, Archer creates calculated openings himself to choose where the enemy will attack. When fighting in melee, he can either confront them with his twin swords, with his greatbow (The Avengers' Hawkeye style, defending and shooting) or with his flintlock rifle. He usually prefers to clash with swords and switching to his ranged weapons in the blink of an eye whenever he gets enough ground and opportunity to execute a ranged attack.
TL;DR: He likes to analyze the enemy for weaknesess and explore them, and is able to avoid confrontations when he deems so to be needed. He highly favors dodging and defending, attacking the enemy only when he isn't expecting it. He is highly flexible and prone to adapting his fighting style to suit his enemies. He is basically a dick even while fighting. Think
Combat Pragmatist.
