Yeah, game's up but if you log out right now you can't get back in. I got booted and now I can't reconnect.

Oh well, before I lost my connection I leveled six characters to level 2, one to level 3 and one to level 9. Gonna go again tomorrow, I'm sure the issue will be fixed in a few hours.

I come home, nuke the leftover steak my family had for Dinner and nestled into my PC Chair loading Mumble and GW2 for my Guild/Alliance...

I ask my friends on Mumble whats going on, they tell me that the Servers have been down for 3hrs...
I can't help but laugh that I only missed out on 4hrs of GW2 instead of the expected 7...
Now all I need is it to come back on again... LOL

Anyone else having problems joining friends in personal story quests? It worked just fine in the beta for me and chaoticag. But now it's not even asking if we'd like to join eachother.

I've been on the fence about buying GW2 for a while now, and I have a couple questions that will make or break my decision to buy it. I figured if anywhere could give me straight answers, it would be B12.

I would only be purchasing the game for WvW, and I'm pretty concerned about the account-wide server locking.
Is it possible to delete all of your characters, and start fresh on a new server?
Is it true that it costs 1800 gems to change servers, making the gem-to-USD rate to switch servers $22.50?

I read that there's a player market similar to Spiral Knights' Mist Exchange that allows you to trade gold for gems. Is this true? Are the rates halfway reasonable? Would someone be able to accumulate enough gold from PvP and WvW to be able to afford a server transfer 2 months down the road?

I understand that there's free server transfers for a limited time, but that's doesn't allay any fears. Every other PvP-based MMO I've played has necessitated that I take a server transfer between 3 to 6 months after I start playing, usually due to my set of friends on that server quitting the game. The server locking already means that I won't be able to play with the majority of my friends, so gambling on one set of friends having their gaming-ADHD in check in concerning.
