Anyway, after much deliberation, and thanks to this link http://www.guildwarsinsider.com/beta-weekend-server-choices/#more-5663, we've decided on going to the Desolation server. Hope to see you there fellow b12ers

No no no no, didn't come off anyway shape or form like that. We all know Hemmingjay hosts a giveaway nearly every month or so. Granted most of them are the Games from Indie Bundles he don't want but sometimes there are gems from 4packs of games...

Is there any idea how long this beta will last? End of August for NA? Or will this game attempt to clash head-on-head with Diablo 3.

I'm probably gong Fort Aspenwood with PA as it's a NA server while Desolation is EU so... See you all around I guess, maybe in WuvWuvWuv.

I'm probably going Sorrow Furnace since the folks that originally got me interested are going there.   Good luck all, keep an eye out for the Charr Greatsword warrior in WvW.

...though I think I just said something like "look for the guy with the weird hat at a hat convention".  I'll Probably either be Greiger or Orithwas.

Started downloading yesterday, this morning it was at 55% - 15GB are a lot.
And remember, the -image start parameter is back.
Are we all sure we want to go to sea of sorrows?

This region-locking thing kinda pisses me off. As a Brit, I'm always stuck on EU servers where 70%+ of the people are non-English speakers.

I have nothing against non-English speakers, but I want to play with English speakers. People locked into US servers don't understand how annoying this can be.
