DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Vader finds your lack of faith in his moves disturbing.

Also palaptine's totally a pimp. You know dude's spent at least some time breaking out the dance moves because who the hell could stop him from mandating a planet wide breakdance? Sith don't mean you lack a sense of humor or mad rhythm.

To be honest..... I was disappointed when Palpatine didn't start doing a breaking out some thriller moves. I would have lost it.

He's got a surprising amount of swag for his age.

I always figured that Star Wars, like any other series, is only as good as the author writing it.  I see a good deal of agreement about IV, V, Tie Fighter, Republic Commando, the Battlefront series, the Tartakovsky cartoon, and one of the KOTOR games (although there's a sharp divide about which one).

They've been doing that since the new movies.

This is so ridiculously stupid it's awesome. I approve (I like the original trilogy, but I've never been a SW nerd, so this is probably why).

Funny though, because you know all those downvotes are from disgusted SW fanatics.

This one is kinda working for me.

DJ Lobot dropping all the phat beats. And the Death Star disco ball....we can't repel funk of that magnitude!  :P

The only thing that bothers me about this is that Boba Fett would never advertise for Imperial recruitment if it didn't pay extremely well. Other than that, I almost want to buy a Kinect just for this game.

At first, the mind recoils at the sheer absurdity of this... but once you get over the initial BSOD, that same absurdity makes it hilarious.

Ah don't be such a stick in the mud, its hilarious!

If it makes you feel better think about it this way, we had the three original movies right, and they were pretty good.. I mean I'm of the opinion they get more praise then they deserve mostly out of nostalgia from the fans but whatever, they were still good enjoyable films.  After that, despite massive budgets and lots of hard work, we got.. Well stuff that ranged from awful to 'ok' for the most part (with the exception of stuff that deviated from the standard universe, like KOtOR).

Now we have this, is it absurd? Of course, its got Vader dancing, but its so over the top absurd, and obviously intentionally so, that its awesome, and when you couple that with a fair amount of attention to detail and nice aesthetics its even more awesome.

Seriously, a dancing rhythm game with Star Wars characters? How can you possible not like it?

I can't understand how anyone can hate something so hilarious and brilliant. All the dance move names, the lyrics, the moves themselves...
This isn't killing Star Wars. Killing Star Wars would be something like releasing a new version of all the movies, with new actors, heavy product placement (think Sony lightsabers, Chevy landspeeders or something like that, Chewbacca with an ipod) and then systematically hunting down and destroying all existing copies of the old movies. That would be killing it. As long as we have access to the original trilogy (in it's unedited original release) there's nothing that can "kill" Star Wars. We might not be getting new material that is high quality from the "official" sources, but there's always the fans, who come up with something awesome every once in a while. Like this for example.

I guess this bothers the hardcore fans who know all the ship specifications and can speak three dialects of wookiee etc.

Here's some more hilarious Star Wars material http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqnX8ANuPgI
