I would like to take this time to ask two questions about research:

• Firstly, are the branches (Offense, Defense, Support) balanced in terms of 'inventions' (for lack of a better term) across the various fields?
• Secondly, does conducting research without a Labratory result in any penalties?

Having no lab does place some small penalties on research. And how do you mean balanced? Is it all about as useful? Maybe. Maybe not. I'm pretty sure its all useful.

Oh, I guess in terms of the number of things devised. Actually, just how productive is research into Defensive Chemistry in terms of the number of inventions?

You know what really blows ass? I've been waiting in gleeful anticipation for this game to come back- and to claim my spot in it- for some six months or so, set up with a character in advance that I now find myself singularly incapable of getting into character with, despite grilling my brain on it for the past couple days, to the point where I kept being distracted thinking up characters I'd rather play as. 

Sorry for the anticlimax, but even if I managed to squeeze out this first post, it's a problem I can see recurring, so I'm just going to nip it in the bud and take the weight off my shoulders (and save up my post-writing juice for The Hub); I don't think it'd be fair on waitlisters (if it were even allowed) to up and change my entry on the spot, so, in the interest of streamlining play and not halfassing my way through the game (since RP fluff should be encouraged as much as possible), I'm going to pass the baton off to the first guy on the waiting list.


That being said, I'm still very much interested in the game! I'm not sure I'll throw myself back on the waitlist just yet: under the current circumstances, I'm sure I'd have a lot more fun helping work on the game than testing it, so say the word and I'll throw myself headlong back into the Department of Evil Research and Evil Development- this is a project that should see fruition, and I'd like to help it there any way I can.

Besides, I haven't even sent you any suggestions for the good guys yet.

You sound like me- I enjoy an RPG-type game, but there's always that nagging desire to try something else...

Aye, kinda sad you were so pumped about it before. At least we'll get to break Toaster's Archetype in the meantime.

On a side note: If this sort of delay becomes a recurring issue - we may reinstate the 1 week timeframe. You'll have a week to post, then the turn will get rolled. If you don't submit your previous orders AND the current week's orders - you will be dropped.
