Fyre:
"Alright, why are they leading a crusade against us? Are we on Holy Land?"

Triple:
"Crusaders? What's gotten them so riled up about you?"


Builder:
"Yes, we are on holy land, in fact you four are right now inside the largest cathedral constructed in the honor of the Machinachrum, and main high seat of our dear Lord Gearworks!"


Builder:
"Those crusaders are so far that I know angry at him for being the "highest order" of our blessed religion, and through that have decided to attack us constantly. To do something about it, the Lord himself has taken a smaller cathedral and attacked their holy land to keep them at bay for now! So the only ones protecting this cathedral are the other generals, and soon you four too!"


Builder:
"Also, it's not me who they are angry at. I am but a simple builder, one of hundreds of thousand identicals located all around this glorious house of our Lord!"

Harbinger:
"Machinachrum?"


Builder:
"Excellent inquiry Harbinger! The Machinachrum is our glorious religion, and the largest robot religion in the universe! Our high master is Lord Gearworks, said to have descended from the basic machinae, the beginnings of all machinery. He says we all have to work hard for our own kind to persist in this fleshbag infested world! Always remember to start the day with a "Hello World! We live by the bolts, we move by the gears!" It is the simplest prayer in our codex!"

Pheta: "Yes, I do believe that is more "my style". So what are we supposed to do now?"


Builder:
"You four have to go through the trials the great Lord has created for you! The tasks await you ahead."

The Builder points straight ahead.

The machine's words felt like a bad taste in Triple's mouth. Religious nutjobs. Right. He should've known. Ol' Lady Fate had never been too kind to him. He took a long drag of an imaginary cigarette, and wished he had a real one and the machinery to taste it.

'Right,' he muttered at the Builder. He hoped that thing wouldn't accompany them for much longer.

Triple heads onwards!

Harbinger already had all the answers he wanted for the moment. He was built for warfare, and battle he would. The only thing that slightly disturbed him at the moment was his lack of mobility, namely wings and a jetpack. Nonetheless, he hoped that his quest would soon fix his problem.

Fleshbag infested? The words caught Pheta by surprise. The opposing crusaders must be some sort of non-mechanical beings. She decided to take this one step at a time, though, and began walking ahead.

: "Trials, hm? Onward we go, then. Can't succeed if we don't try."

Pheta heads onwards.

The two words that struck Fyre's inner wiring membrane system. Or how they call a coding device.

She looked at her allies, and followed along without a word. If her face could be seen below that visor, then she would have this face:

The four, clearly freaked out by this religious nut, decides to move on. The Builder waves goodbye to them as they move.

Builder:
"May your gears run smoothly!"

The Four proceed on, coming to an open door.

Thy proceed through.


They enter a larger room, stocked with some metal crates and a single other machine!

Page:
"Ah, the new generals have been finished! How does it feel to be important? I wouldn't know, I am just a Page. grrr."


Page:
"I am nothing but a lowly grunt to this whole complex! I..."


Page:
"I am sorry, I still need to remember my teachings. I have anger issues as is pretty evident. I have been assigned to give you guys combat instruction along with your first weaponry. So state what you prefer and I will get that for you. After that the trials commence."

It's gonna be harder to escape the nuts than previously thought.

Fyre rubbed her metallic mandible in a state of thought.

"Requesting anything, eh? Hows about...a generic Sniper Rifle. I've heard of those things. Including a Hunting Knife?"

She wasn't actually sure what the Page meant by first weaponry, but the first ideas that popped into her mind were those that could extend her personal strengths, while making up for her weaknesses.
