My newest fort is the "corridor of mechanisms". I'm totally making this happen!

Oh, yes, and apparently louse people have badger-conga syndrome.

lolnope, the giant badgers would have nothing of this, and slaughtered two of my starting seven before I even had a farm layed out. Then my miner killed my carpenter in anger, and I just left. Didn't even have a slade quarry, anyway.

Yep. However, the embark was boring: mostly flat, river down the middle, untamed wilds, one side grass and the other mostly dirt. Nothing special and too easy.

Sorta like my current fort, except my third siege brought 36 cave dragons and 40 jabberers as mounts.

You lost three of your starting seven right away, and yet you still describe the embark as "too easy".  Interesting.

He should've lost them all for it to be slightly challenging.

Plus, I only lost them because I was screwing around with an embark between classes and because I never set up any sort of defenses until I've got other stuff done.

I only start worrying about defences when I have 50 dwarves, and that's just a raising bridge.. On my current fort I only just started with the military and I have 116 dwarves.

Meh, Giant ravens are friendly towards me and actually fight off the hostile giant creatures.. I have giant jumping spiders which my dwarves are slowly learning to tame, the only problem is the sieges, I've had normal goblins bring like 20 or so with bows and whatnot, maybe the general has a mount, but EVERY goblin soldier mounts jabberers and voracious crawlers, cave dragons in their 30s are coming in, and this is just the second siege.
