Fortification question
« on: April 18, 2012, 08:07:58 pm »

I caught a goblin attempting to snatch dwarvern children. I want to know if he will rush for animals through fortifications. It won't let me pit him unfortunately. Help please.

Nope, creatures can't path through fortifications.

[unless they're flooded.]

About fortifications, if you use them in the sewer and they're covered in 7/7 water, is stuff still blocked by em?

You, sir, want to invest in grates. These wonderful creations cannot be destroyed from below, yet water flows down through them and can be sucked upwards through them with a pump.

Never had a bat massacre people with an axe before.
EDIT2: Oh god, the bat has got a title now.

It's not flooded fortifications that let creatures through, it's water flowing that pushes them into the fortification.

Actually, no.  Fortifications which are submerged in water are treated like open space.  Swimming creatures will path through them as if they weren't there, even in completely still water.  It's wall grates and vertical bars that need moving water to push a creature through.
