Ok as I am a noob in adventure mode, I need advice. I went into a fortress and into a house in the fortress, I then proceeded to steal all sorts of awesome stuff like backpacks, metal armour, and cages... in front of a child. Bad idea? Also how do you equip stuff? (Stuff = Things I stole)  Such as the backpack I stole and armour.

If the stuff is marked  $stuff$  then it is owned by somebody and you need to buy it or you'll become an enemy of the whole civ.
It is best to just go to the center of town, find the keep, go to the basement and grab the free loot off the corpses there.

'w'ear is the key you're looking for.  You may have to take things off first with 'r'emove.  Can't wear metal boots over your sandals, for example.

What he said. The junk in a fortress, town keep, or designated warehouse is always free. Goods in a shop are not, although many of them will be empty anyways...

No it wasn't anything in a store, It was a building with a bunch of stuff in it. And a lady. Also thanks for the tips

If you travelled away and weren't murdered, then you're free to go

How does one melt a water skin?

press 'g' to start a campfire (dont trap yourself in a tight space...) and press 'I' (shift-i) to interact, select the ice in the waterskin and it should offer you the option to warm/melt the ice. This should produce water.

Alternatively, murder something and roll in it's blood until you get sufficient levels of blood all over you, then drink the blood splatter off. body/item contaminants dont freeze.

It's horribly out of date, though. I intended to dump that thread and start a new one for the EVIL Race and civs and the Dragonkin mods, for the sake of OCD cleanliness. There was a lot of developement up until 34.01 came out, but I haven't done anything new with it yet.

I seem to be the only noob using this thread... well I made it so that does makes sense... Anywho I have no idea how to unequip stuff and the wiki is practically useless for Adventure mode.

We really don't need any expansion fo the wiki. Perhaps better advertising of it, though.

I put that poll up because this is my only way of getting info. for Adventure mode, the reference guide and quickstart guide are only for starting out. In the way of anything else aside from getting a quest, putting on armor, getting companions, or looting, there is almost nothing. But thanks for the advice again. Also I found I well but I cant figure out how to fill I waterskin and I cant find one in my inv. and I found some sort of city and theres this chest with 300 gold, should I steal it or not?

I was fighting someone and they dodged my attack and ended up standing on top of a statue, I continued to fight them, and somehow they ended up in possession of my «≡Iron Halberd≡», and he bled out on the statue, and I have no idea how to move on top of the statue to get my weapon back.

  Well, I know no way to get on the totem/statue but maybe someone else knows. Check your surroundings, did the weapon fly out of your hand? Also, weapons are fairly easy to replace, either find a shop and buy one, or most people you kill on quests have some weapon. So get a quest and some companions and let the companions do the work and lot the weapon using 'g"
