Ah. I will admit, my friend forced me to play this, and I did enjoy it for a little while.

Guess what? Almost everyone uses the same 7-10 strategies per tier. Once you got them down, you can easily predict your opponent's moves. Which can get hilarious.

I always use less 'used' Pokemon in a tier. I'm trying to remember some of my set up, but that was a long time ago. I should probably reinstall it if we're going to start doing B12 battles. Maybe I'll see something different.  ::)

So....  can I just use my favorite vermin pokemon and expect to be competitive?

No, not the Pikachu, I mean the Rattata.

Not exactly even with the tier system in place.

Well, you could always hope to catch someone off guard with a FEAR. But it's so well known nowadays that you're unlikely to trick anyone.

You guys do realize we could just impose our own rules at random to create more variety.  That'd sorta of be a major point of a bay 12 Pokemon group.

I for one am already sick of seeing Infernape lead in strategies.  So boring.

(I lead in with a regular style Rotom that creates barriers then swaps out with volt switch.  Enjoy eight rounds of reflect monkey boy!)

Question for the vets though.  Kyurem.... How the heck do I stop those things?  (Also extremely overused.)

Downloaded, currently adrift in a sea of submenus.

We should definitely get our own server/games going, though, if there's enough interest.

I would suggest not playing in the uber tier. I'm pretty sure that's part of the uber tier, anyway(may have changed since I played).

I always played in the tier below Ubers, or two below.

If you really want to kill it, I would suggest the old classic, KO band(whatever its called, no 1 hit KOs) plus a spore pokemon. Put it to sleep, out of commission, essentially.

I passively follow Smogon, so my information may be a bit out of date, but last I knew Kyurem is UU on account of it's poor typing.

I'm quite interested in this, but I really have no wish to go uber competative, so if someone set up a bay12 server, I would be grateful (I only want to play with a team of evee evolutions  :P).

Yup, I'd probably pop on if there was a slightly less competitive B12 group, since I tend to not really follow competitive Pokemon strategies. I'd still be fun, though, even if I had to learn a bit to participate.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Same as above, would definitely play if we had a B12 server for this.
