Disdaining the potential avenue of sneaking away with the statue prior to the unveiling, your minions lie in wait around the celebration posing as innocuous serving staff. The ceremony is dull and boring, but at its culmination and the unveiling of the statue, your minions strike! They clear the building with judicious application of nonlethal gunplay. Given the lack of heavy machinery with which to move the statue they opt to destroy it as a message to the foolish forces of justice. They set charges and escape as the explosives tick downwards.
Their escape goes off without a hitch but they badly misjudged the power of the explosives. A sizeable section of downtown is destroyed by their actions. This could have dire ramifications.
