Dammit! (The RNG giveth; the RNG taketh away.)

Grar!

So I'm playing along, and DF crashes. No huge deal; I have seasonal backups turned on for a reason. Reload, play a bit, not quite back to the point I was when it crashed... Elf! Elf in my cage trap! Ooooooh.

Haven't worked out what to do with the elf yet, still playing along... and it crashes again.

Reloading now. Bet the elf is gone. :(

Dying (ceasing to be alive) is also not a Moodable skill. Even totally unskilled Dwarves seem to do it correctly.

I am also a sufferer of frequent crashitus. Not quite so frustrating since I turned on seasonal saves.

Nothing like a crash to make you feel like ending all sentient life in the world.

Huh. Guess I've been lucky. Never had it crash on me yet. That sucks.

Is it because light travels faster than sound,
that people appear bright until you hear them speak?

The last crash I remember was from some less stable version of .31. The queen had just had her neck broken by a barrel thrown by a tantrumming dwarf. Armok save the queen, I suppose.

Dwarf Fortress- where a sudden mist that causes you to bleed from every orifice and drop dead is one of the better outcomes.
