Okay, some issues have been raised on the document in relation to 'Canon roles' and Class specific genders. I'll copy-paste them here.

Quote
This is also just a really poor thing to do. The aspects themselves aren't any more interesting than the other aspects. All you're doing here is screwing two players out of being able to choose what aspect they want. Plot and mechanics don't have to overlap here.

Quote
If a group cares about following canon, then they already know this. If a group does not care about following canon, this can only intimidate them into following canon even if they don't want to

These people have a point. I'm going to change the vote so we can decide whether or not we need to point out gender restrictions or that people 'need' Space and Time Aspects in their party.

I don't think you needed to have Time and Space. Jane and co. don't, after all. It might have to do with them being a weird session, though.

If you can write around it I don't see the problem.

There are a lot of RPG systems that recommend roles, but don't require them. If you're doing a Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader campaign you can get away with not having a pilot if, say... your navigator is intelligent enough to multitask.

Then there's D&D. Your entire team can be kobald bards out to save the kingdom.

I'm almost certain that that's because the Beta kids are coming to their session. From Skaia's point of view, they do have a Time and Space player.

Not certain though.

That sounds even better than a Star Wars game where all the players play Astromechs.

I think that its because that, technically, their session is void and null.  Since the session was never meant to produce any universes, requiring the two aspects anyway would be a pointless choice.

-snip-

Personally, I think its pretty pointless to do so. All you need to do is just make it clear that following the canon is not mandatory. And if someone is too much of a wuss to consider breaking from the recommended canon, then thats their problem, not ours.

Yeah, same thing with the genders. We could put things down as "likely gender", but for required gender I don't think so.

Okay, it is taking me longer to get back into the swing of things than I thought it would, and for that, I'm sorry. I've been hanging out with one of my friends a lot, since we're down with the event, and she's been helping me with my Equius cosplay.

Stellar work as always, freeform.

I would like to confirm all of Mikhael's opinions from that chart. All of them.

Alright, I am finally back into being able to do stuff for this game as well as the new version. While working on stuff for Youmacon, I was also thinking about making changes to the doc where issues had come up, and we'll be overhauling the bard, and nerfing the Maid. We'll need some replacement powers there.

In the meantime, I think I've worked out a God-Tier that is still desirable, but not broken. Compare and contrast.

Later tonight, I will get things started in the main thread pertaining to the big group's action. I just need to finish updating sheets.

They seem very similar. What are the changes other than the thing at the end?
