Way better than last time! But I still need help.
One thing about the nature of heavy weapons. Heavy weapons are not very instincitve. While there may be less aiming to be done, firing them isn't easy. There are two varieties in spacebased weapons: OSHA compliant and non-OSHA compliant. The first have about 20 firing safeties you have to shut off in the right order before you can fire, and with the second ones you have to look out not to get: Toasted, electrocuted, drowned, mangled , fired into space, irradiated, shredded, coated with acid or die in another non weapon related freak accident.

Also remember that you still need to pay for armor.

Yeah. I was thinking about things like BFGs, but anyway, a high Heavy Weapons skill still grants me a reasonable aim and firing ability when using the ship's weapons and huge personal guns, like gatling or RPG-type weapons, right?

I'm going to recalculate the ship's cost and buy something NICE for me with any remaining credits.

The clothing is not armor, if it was not clear.

Yup. It grants you bonusses when firing huge weapons.( Which will be nonstandard, heavy and hard to get) Also bonusses for antitankt turrets and such.

I was talking about ship armor.

Yeah, but unarmored sections also get a HP, right? I'm trying to trim things down to buy the armor.

A structural one right. However unarmed sections are pierced easily even by nonpiercing armor.

On a side note, I'm working on a spreadsheat.

You sure. Combined with a shield light armor is capable of whistanding a few glancing blows, but it will be able to soak up fighter fire.
Combined with your shield I think it should work out pretty well.

Turn it into a frigate or something, one that holds a small crew complement but is fast and has a powerful arsenal of weaponry and utilitarian devices.

Link to the current version of the sheet. It doesn't work properly yet and doesn't do much. (Just deck size calc for now).

Also granted acces: Try not to clutter it up though. I'm not sure how it workds, but apparently you can now edit the original. What I would like to now is if anyone can download the original without asking acces and can filll things in?

I modified the viewing settings to everyone with a link, so it should work.

Edit: It now does armor too. On towards the other parts.
Edit2: If there are sections that you don't need, just ignore them. do not touch the places with zeros in.
Ecit 3: I add the remaining parts of the sheet later. For now it only does hull armor and size calculation.

Just noticed we got to eleven pages just in game preparation.

Edit: It seems that non authorized persons can't do anything with the sheet. Use the other link and request acces for me. I don't think it's safe to open acces to everybody.
If anyone else no how I can make it work, please tell me.

Edit: 2 I changed it again. Please don't mess up the sheet now, cause it seems that any changes will affect the main copy as well.

Buffed missiles a bit . (Increased their points per size). The sheet should work fine now.( At least the parts that I finished already). Use the link near the OP.
