In the morning I'll attempt to piece together a fighter, and I'll join whoever wants me. I'm happy to see many familiar faces I've either RP'd with or GM'd. :)

Do fighters have midsections? Also, is there a minimum number of crewmembers I need on my ship?
No, but you can give them extra decks if you want.( Which is going to be useless since your total size needs to stay under 150

Minumu crew= amount of PC's

The extra deck cost is for the entire ship

I'll try to modify the design once more then. The main problem about internal docks is this:

Effects: Allows you to construct internal docks. Max capacity= Launch shute size.
Note: can be closed to prevent other ships from targetting it. Weapon/dock/engine non functionall when closed.
-Internal dock
Price: 10*size
Max docked ship size: 90% hangar size
You have to have both of them. I want to have fighters because there are PCs which are geared towards it and some may even have fighters of their own.
By the way I am enjoying the challenge. Building a fighter must also be a cool puzzle, and I hope one of the crewmen manages to come up with a model. Which remembers me: If you have a fighter model as a suggestion, you can post it, I am accepting ideas, because building this huge-ass ship is already taking a lot of my brain capacity.

Edit: I'll probably try to build a small dock inside and clamps outside, so that damaged fighters may take turns in being repaired.

As for the missiles, I want to Macross Missile Massacre my enemies.
uhm, that a wording error of mine. You can build internal dock whitout that, but then you can only build them on the outer deck. I'll look at the rest of your ship later.

I might increase the amount of ships to 2 seeing as there are more people joinging up now.

Edit:REQUEST: I think the real game should be made in a new post. Potential newbies may have trouble catching up on this debate without good links.

I'm enthralled by how far IronyOwl and Caellath went to fix up those ships. But...judging by how good spaceship art is today, I'm awaiting it with veiled joy.

Yes. Only 1000.

And probably OOC/discussion thread. I don't think the actual game will be nearly as complex as the ship design, but it might not hurt to have a dedicated place to discuss it.
The ship design is supposed to be the most complicated part.

Another extract on missiles. Booster only misseles are dumbfire ones.( Ie, succesfull eneemy evade and they can't adjust). You can also try to cobble together missiles from loot of destroyed ships. Also, missiles can only be charged when being in the launcher, and missile charging goes one way. ( Ie, no using them as compact batteries).

Docked ships on the other side do have a two way connection

Yes they can (They don't even need remote control for that). ALso noticed that your missiles are suprisingly similair to my example missiles. Also please note that momentum does exist. If you fire a missile from a ship that moves at 90 speed the missile will move at 90 speed too.

Looking at it now.

No, if we count the captains we have 7/6 signups. but the six is going to change since it's going to be a 2 ships Rp.( Probably to /8 or /10)

Besides, the title is full.

Note: I lowered the fusion generators cost to 60 due to some mechanics changes.( Failing jumps now can shut down your parts of your ship, requiring manual reactivation. I also fixed their fuel requirements, which should have been 0.025 all along.
